CASEing the Catty #130 Favourite Project – Occasions Catalogue

Hello!  This is the final post of my day!

If you’re a regular follower of my blog, I hope you’ve enjoyed all the fabulous inspiration on this wonderful Sunday.

3 blog hops in one afternoon is quite the flood!  #sorrynotsorry

Both the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue and Occasions 2017 catalogues retired on Wednesday night.

And from Thursday 1st June, we’ll be exclusively enjoying the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue and the wonderful pages of a fresh new catalogue to CASE!

But first, one last look at the 2017 Occasions catalogue – and our favorite projects.

I have selected the Window Box Framelit as my Occasions Catalogue favourite.

I was delighted to find out that this was carrying over and will be available in the .

The hexagon shaped box is wonderful, but really, it’s all the embellishment dies that I love.

And the sample on the front cover of the Occasion Catalogue is a perfect example of this!

Love, love, love the patterns you can make for boxes – and cards – using the dies in this set!

I’ve been inspired by a 3D item – the hexagon box – and created a card using this concept.

Colour INKspiration #05

Did you love the colours from last fortnight for Colour INKspiration?

We had so many people enjoying the bold & beautiful purple & yellows!!

This week for Colour INKspiration, we take a softer turn into the pastels.

Colour INKspiration #5

This trio of colours lend themselves so nicely to so many occasions!

My initial thought was a pretty wedding card…

Colour INKspiration #05 - Wedding Card. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

I had the idea to create the background piece by repetitively die cutting the floral centrepiece die (hexagon shaped die) from the Window Box Thinlits until the cardstock piece was covered.

I then overlayed it on the bokeh piece of DSP from the Falling In Love DSP.  This DSP pack is perfect for this challenge!!!

Once the background was finished, I added my sentiment on an oval stitched shape and decorated with a pink flower & blue butterfly.

Sometimes finding ways to keep within the constraints of the challenge colours is the best fun of a colour challenge!

I loved the wedding card, but  I couldn’t shake off the idea of using these colours for a baby card.

How cute are these little babies from the Moon Baby stamp set?

This card for some oh-so-cute twin boys born just a little while ago.

Even though it was a traditional baby blue theme I was going for, the pink worked beautifully for a shower of hearts as they drifted down!

I’m so happy with this card!!!
