This week Lou has challenged us to “Add an Easel”.  Of course, this could be an easel style fancy fold – or you could incorporate an easel into your project design like Tina did.  Click here to see all the design team creations and add your project to our gallery.

I wanted a fresh easel for this challenge – one I haven’t tried before.  While searching for cool easel ideals, I came across a Triple Easel Card designed by Nicole Wilson.  Nicole has very kindly put together all the measurements and instructions which you can purchase by clicking here.  Tutorials are a fabulous time saver and worth every penny to the designer!

This style of easel card has three layers of easels (as the name suggests).  The back layer is created using the card base and the front two layers are created using DSP.

Triple Easel Card | kelly kentBecause all our DSP is double sided, it creates a wonderful contrast.  I’ve used the Peaceful Poppies DSP.  The colours and patterns in this DSP are absolutely gorgeous!

The colours for this card are Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss.

The flowers & leaves are cut using the Poppy Moments Dies from the Peaceful Poppies suite.  I wanted a variation in colour, so the back layer of the flower is cut using the Lily Impressions DSP* (*free during Sale-A-Bration).  Again, Stampin’ Up! shows its versatility with coordinating products both within the suite and across the range.

The red poppies in the middle layer are from the Peaceful Poppies Elements – they come coloured and ready to add to your project!

I’ve used the stamps from the Painted Poppies stamp set to provide coordinating patterns on the card base.  These images were stamped in Versamark and clear heat embossed for a subtle tone-on-tone effect.

As with any good fancy fold design, it all folds up to regular card size ready for posting or delivering in an envelope.

This card was delivered today to my newest recruit, Tanya, who took advantage of the great Starter Kit deal available during Sale-A-Bration.  Tanya received $235 of products, a bonus stamp set, a DSP sampler and a mini trimmer all for $165.  Oh, and FREE SHIPPING!!!

While she remains an active demonstrator (which will be until at least 31st July 2020), she is able to purchase all the items on her Stampin’ Up! shopping list at a 20% discount.  If she wants to, she can sell to family, friends or customers and receive an income on their purchases.

This offer is available to any Australian resident between now and 31st March 2020.  It’s great for anyone who loves a great deal on their stamping products.  The most common question I get asked is “what if I don’t make the minimum quarterly spend”? (which at the moment is $468 at retail prices – you’ll get your discount off that!).  The answer is nothing.  You get to keep all the items in your Starter Kit and you simply change from demonstrator to customer.  It’s a no-risk opportunity that I encourage everyone to take up.  You have nothing to lose and a whole team of lovely crafters ready to welcome you.

Want to join Tanya this Sale-A-Bration and join my Paper Adventures team?  Click here to purchase your Starter Kit, or message me to chat if you have more questions.

Welcome to the team Tanya – it’s so lovely to have you!

Just Add Ink #487 | Sketch

Whoops!  Did you get a blank email from me today where this post should have been?  I started it earlier in the week and had grand plans to finish it – but it’s been one of those weeks with unexpected stuff happening left right & centre and I didn’t get back to it in time before it published.

No photo description available.

So, my Just Add Ink card isn’t in fact invisible for this fab sketch challenge created for us this week by Jackie Aitken.  It looks like this…

Butterflies | kelly kent

The butterflies are cut down from the Butterfly Beauty Dies in Whisper White cardstock.  I’ve layered two different Pretty Peacock DSP designs from the Woven Threads pack with more Whisper White in between the layers and then on to a Whisper White Thick mat.  The placement of the butterflies over the mandalas on the DSP was completely by accident – but I always love a happy accident (in life and cardmaking!).

The sentiment is in Night of Navy, stamped from the Welcome to the Team stamp set – one of my favourites in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.  In fact, all products used for this card are from the Annual Catalogue, because although we tend to move our focus forward with each new catalogue release, there are still plenty of wonderful products available for the full year of the catalogue cycle (June 2019 – June 2020).

We’ve love for you to join the final challenge of 2019 and share what you’ve created based on our sketch.  Click here to visit the Just Add Ink blog where you can add your project to the gallery and see the other design team creations.

Thank you for all the comments, visits and love for my Just Add Ink design team cards in 2019.  When I cut back on my blogging commitments, Just Add Ink was one of the few regular commitments I kept.  I love the variety and quality of the challenges and I look forward to more opportunities in 2020 to create pretty cards and share them with you.
