CASEing the Catty #136 – Thanks

Sunday evening – how did you get here so fast???

I hope your weekend was wonderful!

It’s an exciting week at CASEing the Catty – we’re welcoming 7 new design team members!!!

Please welcome Angela Meiritz-Reid & Sandra Collett from NZ, and Fi Cobbin, Megan Lenske, Rose Packer, Alisa Tilsner & Peta Stephen from Australia to the Crew!

We’re so excited to have some new talent in the Crew!

Most of the new Crew were able to join us this week, so please make them feel welcome by leaving them a comment as you hop around!

The theme for CASEing the Catty #136 is the “Thanks” section of the annual catalogue.

I was inspired this week to use the ‘step it up’ concept on page 129.

I felt like it was time for the piggies to make an appearance again!

Here’s my fancier & fancier flying pigs…

I even had a go at using the catalogue picture as inspiration for the styling!

This one layer card would be great for new stampers.

This card is a little more complex with embossing paste for the background, a paper pieced piggy and a little bling…

And this card is next level with lots of layers, DSP paper piecing for the piggy, gold foil for her wings, a ribbon accent and extra bling in the form of glitter in the embossing paste.

Stepping it up is a great way to experiment with the different ways you can use your Stampin’ Up! products!

Thanks for joining me for CASEing the Catty this week.

Next up is one of our new Crew members – Alisa Tilsner, who I’m super excited to be hopping with!

These Little Piggies Say “Happy Mother’s Day”

I’ve been able to convince the Little Piggies that they needed to come for another holiday at my house.

They were Nanna Papercraft’s Prize Patrol stamp set from OnStage (visit her on the Paper Adventures team blog here), but she has been very generous in letting me borrow them.

I can’t order my set until the catalogue starts in June!!!

I thought the cute little piggies would make great Mother’s Day cards.

Though this set doesn’t specifically have sentiments for Mother’s Day, I was able to add in other sets in my collection to create this theme.

You could do the same for birthdays!

I’ve used the Playful Palette DSP for the backgrounds – it’s on the retirement list at the moment (at a discount!).

Since Sweet Sugarplum is one of my favourite colours, and the piggy is pink – it was perfect for these cards!!!  The orange was just a bright & cheerful bonus!

The first card uses the ‘because of you’ stamp from Oh So Succulent and the Mother’s Day stamp from Circle of Spring.

I thought they worked well together with the happy flying pig!

I love the piggy in the next card – it’s just so happy!

I masked out the ‘you make me’ above the happy and added in the Mother’s Day sentiment from the Thoughtful Banner stamp set.

And the final card is actually where this trio started!

This Little Piggy says, Happy Mother’s Day!

These three cards will be part of my market stock for Monday’s open house!

Happiness is doing things you enjoy – and a large part of that for me is making pretty things for others to delight in!

I hope there’s some inspiration in these cards for everyone!

We all spend so much time on the internet – blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook!

Translate all those good ideas into some craft projects of you own.

Whether you take some elements of a card and make it your own, or if you copy the whole card and get your craft on!

Happy crafting,

This Little Piggy (available 1st June 2017) plus these great Mother’s Day stamp sets…

Colour INKspiration #07

Thank you once again for all the support you’ve been giving our colour challenges!

It’s the second Wednesday of the month, which means a new colour combination to inspire us!

This fortnight, we’re playing with a sweet palette of Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette & Tip Top Taupe.

I’m so pleased to be celebrating my 2 favourite outgoing In Colors.  With the retirement list released yesterday, make sure you’ve stocked up on all the 2015-2017 In Color supplies you need.  Once they sell out, they’ll be gone {forever!}.

I was going to tuck away my new OnStage stamps and share them with you a bit later, but I couldn’t resist for this card on 2 counts….

  1. This stamp set is adorable!
  2. The colours are perfect for a little piggy!!!

So, let me introduce you to one of the little piggies we’ll be meeting when the new catalogue launches on 1st June 2017.

I love this time of the year – the triple dipping is wonderful for creativity!

I have products from the two current catalogues plus all the sneak peeks from the upcoming catalogue!  It’s going to make for some fabulous creations!

I took the colour theme through to the inside of this card too…

This piggy is going to be a hit!  Such a happy little gal!

Thanks for joining me for a colour filled blog hop.
