Endless Birthday Wishes

Endless Birthday Wishes is just of of the sets available in the “Endless” range from Stampin’ Up!.  Last Christmas they brought out Endless Wishes (now retired sadly!).

Then they brought out Endless Birthday Wishes in the US market and luckily for everyone in the South Pacific, it appeared in the 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue along with Endless Thanks.  Both sets are only $A28 – making them an affordable and versatile addition to your stamping collection.  The builder style of sentiment makes it easy to create a range of themed cards by adding the elements together.

For this first birthday card, I combined the Endless Birthday Wishes with Little Letters thinlits…

It’s a little hard to see in the photo, but the candle flames have a touch of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details.  One of my SU! team, Sonia, swears by glitter on everything – and I think she’s dragging me to the sparkly side, one card at a time!  I’ve been adding sparkles to more than a few of my cards lately.  It really does finish the card off!  Full sparkle ahead!!!  Kelly x

Little Letters Have Company … Introducing Little Numbers!

Last year the Little Letters Thinlits joined the Stampin’ Up! family.  This year, they’re joined by the Little Letters Thinlits – what a great combination!

They arrived yesterday in the first of my BBBs on their way over to stock my shelves with awesome new products.  I’m so glad they arrived before my launch event on Saturday.  But – the timing!!!  Today and tomorrow are “real work” days for me, so no sneaky craft.  Arrrgggghhhhh!!!

I did manage to whip this one up last night though – another “not a Hallmark” request.  Hope the horse loving Dad loves the thought his daughter has put into his card.  Kelly x

Whimsy Wedding – Cake Topper Bunting

image

It’s the middle of the wedding season and I was asked by my cousin, who is a cake designer in Bunbury, to create some wedding themed bunting for a wedding expo she was going to.

I made three different options for her to show her customers and reminded her that since everything I make is made from scratch, it is fully customiable!

That’s the wonderful thing about handmade – it’s created just for you.  Have a name with unusual spelling – no problems, want a specific saying – easy done, need it match your colour theme – totally possible!

Simple & elegant “Mr & Mrs” banner using the Pennant Builder Punch, Skinny Mini Alphabet & heart punch from Itty Bitty Accents.

Classic love birds with a kissing heart!  Made using the Bird Builder Punch, Your Perfect Day Stamp Set & heart from the Owl Builder Punch.

And the final one is my favourite – “Just Married” using the Tree punch, Little Letters Thinlits, and Linen Thread.  The ‘scrunchy’ flowers were made using the brown paper SU! use for packing orders, coloured with Bermuda Bay ink and cut with the 1-1/4″ scallop circle punch.

Freshly Made Sketches #157

FMS Final 157-001
And it’s … another baby card.  I flipped the sketch around to landscape orientation so that I could fit ‘BABY’ in better using the Little Letters Thinlits.  I had originally planned for “BABY” to use the ‘negative space’, but once I put the card together it didn’t look right – so I filled the spaces with Whisper White letters instead.  The perfect card for a new little princess!  Kelly x

Transformers Birthday Card

Alexa was invited to her very first birthday party away from our social circle – a big milestone for our “little” girl who is getting so grown up!

Cam turns 4 this week and he invited some day care friends, including Alexa, to his ‘dress-up as a movie character’ birthday party.  Alexa has a fabulous Peppa Pig costume and although technically a stretch on the movie theme, Peppa came out to play!  The party was lovely – bouncy castle, face painting & a checkerboard Turbo cake that was a definite labour of love from the kitchen of someone very talented.  The day care Mums got a chance to meet & greet (rather than wave & dash, as is usually the case on drop off / pick up) and the kids had a (sugar enhanced) blast.

When I RSVP’d, I found out that Cam would be dressed as Optimus Prime from Transformers.  This gave me a great theme for the birthday card & present.  We found an awesome Transformers “lift the flap” t-shirt for a present and of course, I made a Transformers card to go with it.

The design: Punch art was too ambitious and I don’t have an Undefined Stamp Carving Kit (but if you do, see a great carved Transformer image by Melanie Hill here).   So I decided on a computer printed Transformers logo and “Happy Birthday” in Transformers font.  I often download new/interesting/quirky/relevant fonts to match my projects – dafont.com is my favourite go-to website for all my font needs.

This is the final result – tying in Cam’s name (using the logo as the “A”) and keeping it suitably dark & mysterious.  Happy Birthday Cam, we loved sharing your special day with you & your family.  Kelly & Alexa x
