I’m so excited for today’s hop with my ESAD friends – it’s a huge hop filled with Occasions and Sale-A-Bration inspiration!!!
Thanks to Lou Kitzelman for her stellar organisation that makes these hops happen. Everyone hopping today is part of a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator only group called ESAD.

For my projects today, I have focused on Sale-A-Bration products – because.. who doesn’t love FREE! The winners of Sale-A-Bration 2019 for me is the embellishments – pretty paper, cool wood elements and fantastic ribbon are sure to lift all your 2019 projects.
Check out this stunning DSP with full colour butterfly prints on one side and black and white prints on the other side.

This DSP was the starting point for the projects I’m sharing today – desk calendars. I’ve added in a couple of new Occasions products too!

The calendars both use the Botanical Butterfly DSP, Butterfly Elements and Organdy Ribbon. These are all items you can choose for free when you order $90+ on your favourite Stampin’ Up! products.
Note: I’m in Australia, the SAB ordering requirement may be different in other regions.
I made the first desk calendar in Highland Heather to coordinate with the DSP and set butterflies set on a quaint tea cup.

You’ll find the tea cup in the Occasions Catalogue – a beautiful new set called Tea Together. I stamped it twice – once on Whisper White and once on the Botanical Butterfly DSP. Using paper snips, I cut around the cup, handle and part of the saucer (this technique is called paper piecing and is best for the crafter who doesn’t mind a little bit of fussy cutting!).
The main cup shape – on Whisper White is cut using another Sale-A-Bration choice. The coordinating framelits are available as a level 2 Sale-A-Bration item. You can select the Tea Time Framelits when you spend $180+.

The second desk calendar has a Balmy Blue colour scheme – don’t you love all the colours Stampin’ Up! brought us in the 2018 colour refresh!!

I just love that crazy butterfly DSP with a vellum overlay! And the pretty ribbon adds a fantastic touch to projects. The SAB combo pack has 23m of ribbon (4.6m x 5 colours!) – what a great choice for a free item.
The itty bitty butterflies in the middle of each of the wood elements are cut from the DSP using the Butterfly Duet punch. It punches so many of the butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP…. so you’ll want to make sure the punch is part of your $90 order if you’re choosing the DSP as your free SAB option!

Want to make your own 2019 desk calendars? I followed my instructions from 2015! See the original post here.
Instructions:
- Cut a piece of A4 (Australian size) cardstock in half (it’ll be 4-1/8″ x 11-11/16ish”)
- Score at 5″, 10″, 10-3/4″, 11-1/2″
- Fold cardstock into a triangle shape, with a mountain fold underneath. Adhere the little flap to the inside of the triangle.
- Calendar front – Mat 1: 3-7/8″ x 4-3/4″; Mat 2 (DSP): 3-5/10″ x 4-1/2″

I love this time of the year! How lucky are we that Stampin’ Up! designs such beautiful products and then gives them to us for free!
Thanks for stopping by today! Unless I’m your last stop, there’s plenty more inspiration to guide your Sale-A-Bration shopping list.
Next to visit is my gorgeous friend in Victoria – Cheryl Algie.
