Stamp Review Crew – White Christmas

Stamp Review Crew

Hello again and thanks for joining me on another Stamp Review Crew blog hop.  I’m still buzzing with the fun of knowing I get to create with all this talent twice a month!

Use the next & back buttons at the bottom of each post to go between all the posts.  If you get lost, head back to the Stamp Review Crew main page where you’ll find a list of everyone who’s playing along today.  Have you hopped via Val & her amazing creations? Next up is the gorgeous Holly.  If you get back here, you’d made the full circle of inspiration

White Christmas Banner

The chosen stamp set this hop is White Christmas from the Annual Catalogue.  It’s lovely to have a choice of Christmas sets year round – though I confess to you now that White Christmas is not a set I own.  My lovely upline was kind enough to let me borrow her stamp set to have a play for this hop.

Why don’t I own such a cute stamp set???  Because in country Western Australia where I live, it {NEVER} snows at Christmas time (it’s usually hot, hot, hot!).  It actually never snows in Bunbury any time of the year.  The only place it snows in my state is at Bluff Knoll about 4 hours south.  And people who live in the snow would probably laugh at our little snowy mountain!

I think travelling somewhere for a white Christmas is on the bucket list of many Australians!  It’s certainly something I’d love to do one day!  I’m thinking Japan….

Anyways, enough chat…. what does a girl do with a snow based Christmas set when she never makes White Christmas cards?

She uses all the cute little images and makes other types of cards of course!  This is perfect for being able to use a Christmas set year-round!

The first card I’m sharing with you is a baby card using the polar bear stamp – how super cute is that bear?

The next card is my favourite – a camping themed set using the trees & car stamps from the set.  It’s perfectly outdoorsy and just makes me happy!

And the last card was inspired by the sketch at Just Add Ink #305 this week.  Jump over to JAI to see all the details!

So, when is White Christmas all shades of the rainbow?  When Mrs Papercraft is at the craft table!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my alternative design ideas for the White Christmas stamp set.  They were lots of fun to make!  Kelly x

Next blog on the hop is Holly & her fabulous designs.

Tea Cups Full of Baby Love

Hello!  Today I wanted to share with you the baby shower invites I made for a friend.  Although they are invites, we designed them in card style, so really you could use this layout for a welcome baby card too.

The initial concept was a baby peeking out of a tea cup.  Then I thought a stack of cups would look nice… And a great way to include some pretty Have A Cuppa Designer Series Paper.

The mumma-to-be wanted to use the Have A Cuppa embellishments somehow, and it may be a little left of centre, but I thought they’d make cute dummies…

And the idea of a silver spoon in the baby’s mouth gave me a giggle – just tickled my humour that one!  As did the ‘peekaboo’ sentiment – a baby shower is kind of like a peekaboo, right?  With baby hiding away waiting for the right moment to appear.
