It’s cold and wet here today and perfect weather to finish the preparation for tomorrow’s Social Stamping at the Taste of Dalyellup cafe.
Here’s a sneak peek of one of the card options for tomorrow. It’s a spinner card using the Give it a Whirl Dies and Stellar Birthday stamp set.
These dies in all their stitched glory made it so easy to create cards that whirl and create magic. In this card, the planets change colour as you spin the wheel.
The pieces in the kit allow stampers to create a Balmy Blue or Smoky Slate space scene. Which would you choose?
There’s a choice of sentiment from this stamp set, or you could leave it blank for an all occasion card.
If you can make it to Social Stamping, please send me a message so I can save a kit for you.
Tomorrow will be the last week of Social Stamping as we head into school holidays at the end of the week. Social Stamping will be taking a break during July. Mandy will return in August with more cards for you to enjoy.
Hi there! The design team from The Stamp Review Crew are taking turns to share a little more about ourselves. You can see my profile and learn a little about me over at the Stamp Review Crew main blog.
The Stamp Review Crew was the first design team I joined back in March 2016 – making it 5 wonderful years with this crew! The Stamp Review Crew are a group of international Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators – coming together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month to share projects made with the same stamp set. It was an absolute pleasure when I joined and it continues to be a wonderful part of my blogging cycle each month. The crew are crazy talented – it’s pretty special to blog along side them!
I’ve been asked to share a project with you today and breaking tradition of sharing projects using a stamp set, I’m sharing some creations I made using a new die set – the Give it a Whirl Dies.
You’re going to want to get this into your stamp room – because it will add another level of interesting to all the stamp sets you have in there.
There’s a new set in the 2021 Annual Catalogue designed to coordinate with the dies – the Stellar Birthday stamp set. I’ve used the quarter circle cut out so that the astronaut moves up & down when you turn the wheel.
Interactive cards are the best for all ages, but they really add a great option for kids cards. I love that the stamp set has both a girl and a boy astronaut plus accessory stamps that you can use in the windows – or the background as I have for this card.
The second card I’m sharing was a special one I made for my nephew who turned 1 last week.
I couldn’t resist getting my new turtle bundle inky – Turtle Friends stamp set and Turtle Punch. The Give it a Whirl Dies are awesome for creating a scene. When you spin the wheel on this card, it shows three different greetings between the clouds – happy birthday, ‘it’s time to shell-ebrate’ and a die cut “1”.
The Playful Alphabet stamp set is fantastic for customising cards with names, special birthday numbers or custom sayings. The DSP on this card is from the Beauty of the Earth DSP. The main patterns are autumnal nature images but the reverse side are fantastic single coloured patterns – perfect for sky & grass. The Basic Border Dies are another ‘must-have’ from the 2021 Annual Catalogue – great for grass, clouds and other creative cuts.
The Give It A Whirl Dies have great accessory dies including the clouds on the turtle card and stars on the astronaut card. I’m looking forward to seeing what ideas appear on Pinterest for this die set.
