This term, I couldn’t go past a Pinterest find. This card is a creation from the craft table of Suzanne Johnson, which I have CASEd to make my own version for my daughter’s dance teacher. It uses the Work of Art stamp set to create – ‘a work of art’! Just magical! It allowed me to pretend, just for a minute, that I have an artistic side!!! Kelly x
I love little gifts and Stampin’ Up! provides me with lots of creative ways to package these up. My latest cute gift uses the Curvy Keepsake Box Die to hold a few choccies (individually wrapped Tim Tam bites in this case) and uses a tea bag as the gift tag. Add some colour to a plain keepsake box by cutting one half of the die with DSP and sticking it to the cardstock. This uses less DSP, creates more contrast and makes the box sturdier.
I love tea so much (English heritage I think ….). And good cup of tea needs a bite of chocolate on the side mmmmmm …. Too bad if my friends are coffee drinkers! Kelly x
On Thursday night, 5 lovely ladies joined me for a night of cardmaking. The theme was cards that would be suitable for a male. I often hear that masculine cards are the hardest to come up with, so hopefully these ideas help you out a little. Although my designs were made with “Father’s Day” (and happy birthday) sentiments, most of the ladies chose other ones to put on their card fronts including “happy birthday”, “lucky you” & “from me to you”. The variety in SU! is great!
If you like what you see, are in Bunbury and you’re interested in attending a card class like this one, contact me. I can invite you to the next one or you can host your own (host your own & earn rewards). Kelly x
When I saw Joanna’s rainbow card on Pinterest I fell in love! What a gorgeous way to use the large stamp from Work of Art. I knew from the first moment I saw WOA when the US demos starting posting samples, that it would be a hit. The size & shape of the stamps are so versatile and I’m getting lots of use out of it. If you haven’t already bought it, make sure it’s on your next Stampin’ Up! order – you’ll thank me 🙂 Kelly x
Today 4 of my lovely regular customers joined me so I could share the new catalogue with them. Lots of oo-ing & ah-ing and we all want so much more from the new catalogue than our budgets allow!!! We made a bookmark, card & tag using the new Stampin’ Up! products. Here’s our morning:
Many thanks to my Mum for help with the prep & babysitting, the ESAD girls who sent me cards to put on display & the staff at Withers library for a great venue!

After spending some time with the new in-colours I have decided my favourite is Blackberry Bliss. It’s rich and warm and gorgeous!!! The other 4 colours are also beautiful and I can see them getting a lot of use (especially the Mossy Meadow & Lost Lagoon combo for some Wetlands cards!). You don’t have to decide on a favourite straight away – the best way to try all 5 colours is in a Cardstock & Pad Kit.
I’ve also made an insert for ink refill – you can download this here – with all the new colours included [I needed to do a manual update for MDS for the new colours to appear – if you’re a MDS user, and you don’t have the new in-colours by now, you’ll need to do this too!]. The inserts for the existing colours and information on sizing can be found here.
So, as you can see I’ve been busy playing with my new products. Not long now til you can order too! The new catalogue starts 1st July 2014. If you’d like a copy of the new catalogue, please contact me. Or, if you live in Bunbury, please come to my launch on 5th July! Kelly x
Note: some of the links to new products in this blog post will come up with an error until the catalogue becomes available to the general public on 1st July 2014.
