A work colleague asked me to make a card for her mother, who she is missing now that she lives in Australia.
I had free range to create a ‘thinking of you’ card featuring flowers. The hydrangea in the Best Thoughts stamp sets is still one of my favourites from the 2015-2016 catalogue.
It’s a dream to colour and looks fabulous embossed and watercoloured.
The layout for today’s card was inspired by the Just Add Ink #283 sketch:
It’s lovely when people choose a handmade creation to share their love. I also love ‘just because’ cards! Kelly x
PS, Have you seen this week’s Weekly Deal? They are available at these prices until Tuesday 20th October 2015.

I’m kinda still in holiday mode and haven’t really spent much time at the craft table since I’ve been back.
Sadly, friends of ours lost their dog this week, and I wanted to send them a card to let them know we’re thinking of them.
Bob’s favourite place was the beach, so I thought it was fitting to send him off with some sand & waves.
I couldn’t leave the post with just sad doggie news, so I also wanted to share a card I made a little while ago as a custom request for a wedding. It also had a beach theme, plus a super cute Kombi!
Both of these cards embody what I love the most about cardmaking – you can personalise your art to match every occasion. Happy or sad occasions are the perfect opportunity for a thoughtful card and in my experience, the effort is always appreciated.
I hope you get some time at the craft table this weekend, I know that’s what I have planned! Kelly x
The Holiday Catalogue is always a tricky one for me – so many gorgeous products with very definite themes… Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween. Now, being “down south” I don’t need to make cards for Thanksgiving or Halloween, so that takes a few off the list.
Christmas is definitely on the agenda… but how many Christmas sets does a girl need? I’d love to have them all but had to settle for a few stand outs.
And then the rest of the holiday additions are products I like to think of as versatile. Stamp sets and tools that can be used long after tinsel has fallen down and Christmas presents are all unwrapped.
For me, the Hearth & Home Thinlits are on the year round list.
Beautiful for Christmas…
Fabulous for thanks …
And perfect for birthdays…
The thank you card features a bigger than normal window. Thanks to Angela Lorenz who shared her tip on using the die to make a double window. Using the same theory, I’ve used it to make a ‘bay window’ with 6 window panes. This die is versatile in more ways than one!
It seems my interest in cards with a window frame was a little ahead of the trend (see my Cameo cut window frame card here) – very unlike me!!! Now that I have such a cute die, I can’t wait to try out more ideas – Christmas and not! Kelly x

Yes, I’m a paper addict, but you have to agree with me, the DSP in the new catalogue is truly divine.
From the bold striking colours in Bohemian to the gorgeous patterns in English Garden to the funky animal prints in Go Wild – there’s something for every card you’ll need to make this year (even a Christmas one!).
Of course, it’s a big outlay to buy every DSP. So, I’m offering a paper share. You can own a 6×6 piece of every DSP for just $50 (excluses Typeset). Or the main collection for $38 or the colour collection for $12.50.
My DSP share is open to anyone in Australia and ends today. If you ticked the ‘yes please’ box at my catalogue launch, you should have received an email from me with payment details. Only shares that have been paid for by the end of today will be ordered.
Not signed up yet? Please contact me to join the share.
To make today’s card, I’ve used the Inkspired Team Sketch by Teneale Williams:
Together with a new DSP – Timeless Elegance:
To create this ‘thinking of you’ card:
I’m a big fan of DSP as a whole card background. The colour combination is Tip Top Tape, Pink Pirouette & Elegant Eggplant. Timeless & elegant indeed. Kelly x

I’ve shared lots of convention cards with you lately, so today I’m excited to share a *NEW* card made with products you can order now! No need to wait for the new catalogue to start!
Today’s card uses two challenges. One of my regular go-to’s: the sketch supplied by the lovely design team at Freshly Made Sketches:
And a brand new weekly challenge just for South Pacific Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators (ESAD).
The first ESAD Demo Design challenge has been set by Donna Chapman and is to create a card suitable for a male with the theme of travel.
So, with the sketch as my starting point, I’ve made this gender neutral card featuring the awesome bike from Sheltering Tree. I love it when a stamp set offers more than just what it promises.
It features one of my all-time favorite colour combinations of black, grey, white & yellow, which works well for males (or females).
This card has a mix of retiring, not be be continued (Occasions 2015) and carryover products.
If you think you’ll miss any of the products on the retirement list or in the Occasions catalogue, then you’ll want to order them now! Online shopping makes it super easy – shop from wherever you are & get it delivered to your door (the hostess code if you’d like to use it is: 2DDVDWRQ).
Thanks for all your support of my papercraft journey! I’m certainly feeling the love! Kelly x
Happy Easter Sunday! We’ve been spending the weekend with family & friends – eating way too much chocolate and delighting in seeing Easter through the eyes of kids. This morning we followed the Easter bunny’s trail around the garden – collecting, eggs, stickers, crackers & toys. So much fun! Easter was definitely ‘this way ->’!
These are my two little “Easter bunnies”… Do you love their ‘mummy made’ shirts (guess who got a fabric blade for their Cameo!!!)?
Happy Easter. Chocolately love from Kelly & the little bunnies x

I love Easter because Easter chocolate is my all-time favourite chocolate. Specifically the Cadbury eggs that come in a crate or milk carton. So … if you have extra and need a home for them, you know where to find me. Hubby is a Lindt fan, so I might consider making him one of these gorgeous Easter Curvy Keepsake Boxes I CASEd from Alexandra Bleicher. So cute!
Thanks to Alex for the inspiration. Kelly x
It’s a special day in our house today. As well as being our – no longer celebrated – wedding anniversary, it is also Alexa’s 4th birthday.
I love a good theme, and this year for Alexa it’s apples, which has been a fun but frustrating theme. Try typing ‘apple’ into Google or ebay … all that comes up is the technology brand & its range! Not to worry … I got there in the end!
Tomorrow we are celebrating with a red & green themed apple party. The party invite was a 3littlebirdsprints design:
As I love to do, I made Alexa’s birthday card to match the style of the invite and included a ‘Sheltering Apple Tree’. I knew when I saw Sheltering Tree in the Occsions catalogue that it would make an amazing apple tree. And it does! The colours look incredible!!!
And of course, a curvy keepsake box! Alexa has been asking every time we take a CKB to one of her friend’s birthday when she will get hers. Well my sweetheart – this is yours. An Apple Curvy Keepsake Box.
Happy Birthday to our sweet not-so-little-anymore 4 year old! Lots of love & sugary kisses, Mummy & Daddy Papercraft x
Cheeky Mr Papercraft asked me to make my own Valentine’s Day card this year. So I did … do I tell him I bought my own V-Day present too?
Sheltering Trees was one of those stamp sets that was on my list, then off my list, then on again … I loved the tree and cute accessories but couldn’t warm to the sentiments. I got over that and added it to a recent order and I’m so glad I did. The tree is just gorgeous.
Now for the colour combo, courtesy of the Just Add Ink #248 challenge – I would have never combined these 4 colours. I can’t even say any of them on their own are favourites of mine. But together – wow! It just works. Thanks JAI and thanks Mr Papercraft – I love my card & present! Kelly x
5.2.15 – Update – This card was the weekly winner for the JAI challenge. Woo hoo!!!
