Cheeky Mr Papercraft asked me to make my own Valentine’s Day card this year. So I did … do I tell him I bought my own V-Day present too?

Sheltering Trees was one of those stamp sets that was on my list, then off my list, then on again … I loved the tree and cute accessories but couldn’t warm to the sentiments. I got over that and added it to a recent order and I’m so glad I did. The tree is just gorgeous.

Now for the colour combo, courtesy of the Just Add Ink #248 challenge – I would have never combined these 4 colours. I can’t even say any of them on their own are favourites of mine. But together – wow! It just works. Thanks JAI and thanks Mr Papercraft – I love my card & present! Kelly x

Teachers Cards – “Merry Christmas from the whole bunch”

These two ‘super-size’ card designs are the product of a custom request from one of my favourite customers. She dreams up big ideas then it’s my job to turn them into a reality. The brief for this one was to create 4 personalised Christmas cards in green & gold for kindy teachers with flowers or balloons and the phrase “from the whole bunch”. There was a bit of agonising (on my part!), but the final result was amazing. I loved them, she loved them & the teachers loved them – that’s a win!

I was lucky enough to add a Silhouette Cameo to my papercraft family last month. This card gave me the chance to break it out!!! I’ve had one on my wishlist for a while and my wonderful hubby surprised me with one #luckyme. The “Christmas” & “Mrs” wording are digitally cut using the Cameo. The teachers names are old school – cut in the Big Shot using the Perfect Print Bigz Dies. And the requested “from the bunch of us” was simply printed using Word on the computer. Using a variety of techniques & sources gives the card a little extra zing. I’m looking forward to sharing more hybrid projects with you that use the Cameo as well as traditional papercraft. Kelly x

Another Curvy Keepsake Box – Fluttering Fairies

I just can’t get enough of the Curvy Keepsake Boxes! It’s my go-to at the moment for little gifts. Alexa was invited to a party on the weekend, which the birthday boy shared with this younger twin sisters. I wanted something small & sweet for the twins, so I came up with this fairy version of the Keepsake Box. I used a few retired products (some things are too good to stop using!) and a few current ones. I put some hair accessories in the middle and a tag on the top. These would be great for a summer market stall. I’ve used my new favourite die so much I’m going to need new plates for the Big Shot soon… good excuse for another order I think! Kelly x

This creation was made for a friend who wanted a card with an “awesome” gold theme that matched in with the party invite & present she’d bought. It’s great example of how versatile most of the stamp sets can be – the sentiment is from the Flower Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set but there isn’t a flower in sight! Last week I posted a link to a tutorial for a Mini Champagne Bottle Box made using the Envelope Punch Board. I thought it wasn’t fair that the men missed out – so, good news! The bottle box also fits a bottle of beer. ‘Cheers!” This is a great one for a friend’s birthday, colleague thank you, or even something special for Dad (Father’s Day is only 2 weeks away)!
