Hey there! Happy Monday!! It’s a holiday here in Western Australia. I enjoyed a lazy morning and have plans to spend time with my gorgeous family today.
For anyone who’s wondering about Little Mr Papercraft – he’s 6 months old now! He’s cute & cheeky and such a sweet little baby!!! There’s not as much crafting going on as I would like – but that gorgeous little smile makes up for it!
I’ve kept my project simple for today’s Stamp Review Crew hop with my international demonstrator friends. The theme is the Amazing Life stamp set from the Occasions catalogue. You’ll find it on page 28 – bundled with the amazing Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
I’m not sure if it’s the looming St Patrick’s Day celebrations this month, but the lucky 4-leaf clover took my fancy and I decided to use this to make a green festive card. I intend to send this to an Irish friend as a card for a St Patrick’s blessing, but you could use it at any of of the year for a friend that’s feeling a but down on their luck.
The clovers are stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Dark Call Me Clover and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. There’s never much blending going on when I pull out my Stampin’ Blends – I just love them for the smooth colouring. They are an absolute joy to work with!
You’ll spy some rectangle stitching on the card – not just because they are bundled with this stamp set but rather because I’m putting stitched rectangles on E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. I can’t get enough of them!
The ‘sending’ is from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set on a rectangle stitched framelit. I cut the rectangle down to be a shorter version – I love how versatile the shapes are!
Sadly this Sale-A-Bration ribbon retired, but there’s plenty more Sale-A-Bration choices including 8 more level 1 choices added this month. You can see all the level 1 choices by clicking here. *** Level 1 choices are free with a $90+ Stampin’ Up! order in Australia.
Thanks for hopping with me today! Next stop is the US with Holly Krautkremer and her amazing project!
I hope you have a great week!
I love making cards for St Patrick’s Day – must be the irish name!
It’s such a fun & happy theme!
With the Rainbow Builder Dies currently available in the Annual Catalogue and lots of hearts on offer, this card came together in a snap!
Teeny Tiny Sentiments is always my go-to for specific occasions – it covers a whole range across the year including the lucky green day!
To make your own rainbow, pot of gold & shamrock card, here’s the supplies you’ll need….
Our Irish & Irish loving friends will be in their element this Saturday!!!
It seems that this is a good week for a pun!
Who doesn’t love their name on a card??
Wishing you a Happy St Patrick’s Day!!!
Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Although there won’t be any formal celebrations of this lucky day at Team Papercraft HQ, I wanted to make a card for a fabulous Irish lady I work with. Unofficially, she’s the events coordinator for the office. She decorates the staff room for major celerations – usually with themed chocolates, which makes her very popular!
I love the fun she brings to my working life, so I’ve made a little card to pop on her desk to wish her a wonderful day and say thank you for being awesome.
I’m a bit of a theme creator myself – but by favourite product. And at the moment it’s the Playful Pals stamp set (have you noticed?).
It’s perfect for building cute little characters – like this cheeky little leprechaun.
You can make your own leprechaun too…
Hat: Large solid oval
Clover: Small teardrop
Face: 1-3/4″ circle punch, wide set eyes & mouth stamps
Beard: Small solid oval
Body: Solid triangle
Arms & Legs: Solid trunk (trimmed)
Hands: Scalloped circle from Tree Builder punch
The balloon are supposed to look like a lucky 4-leaf clover. The heart shaped balloon from the Balloon Builders stamp set was perfect for this idea and I think it works well!
I splashed Wink of Stella on quite a few parts of the card – Gold on the left side of each balloon and top & bottom points of his beard; Clear on the balloons (all over!) and his hat.
I hope you have a lovely St Patrick’s Day today and that something lucky happens to you. It’s also Cup Day in Bunbury (the biggest horse racing event of the year) – so it’s going to be a rauchous atmosphere here in the South West for some!!!
No race day for me though, it’s my ‘real work’ day but I am excited about Mr Papercraft being home again and going out to dinner with my family! Family times are happy times here at Papercraft HQ. I feel lucky everyday! Kelly x
