Pierced Blooms Dies | happy birthday

Hello Sunday! It’s autumn here in Australia (known as fall for some of you) and the weather is absolutely glorious. Warm during the day, balmy at night and not a touch of wind at all this weekend. Yesterday we played tourist with family who have visited us and did a high ropes course. This is me hanging out at 10m above the ground with one of the Little Miss Papercrafts.

I have no fear of heights, but wow – some of those obstacles are challenging! Quite the change in pace from the comfort of the craft room!

Today I’m sharing with you a quick and easy duo of cards. They are made using the Pierced Blooms Dies – and all the hard work is done with the detail in the dies.

As suggested by the product name, when you cut these dies using your cutting machine, it pierces all the holes you see and makes them so pretty!

The colours for my flowers are Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Magenta Madness and Just Jade for the leaves.

I made two variations of this card with a subtle differences to how I arranged the flowers how they worked in with the sentiment. Even the die cut for the sentiment has a gorgeous pierced edging.

The DSP for this card is the True Love DSP – the black and white patterns are a staple for me this catalogue. I’ve used the Subtle Embossing Folder on the background layer to add a bit more texture and complement the stitching.

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. It’s such a pretty arrangement of fonts and fits so perfectly in the die.

Enjoy the rest of your day! There will be no adventure for me today, I’m taking it easy and enjoying the level ground of my craft room!
