Stamp Review Crew | Merry Cafe

Welcome to a blog hop featuring a team of talented international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that blog together on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month and showcase one stamp set from the current Stampin’ Up! range.

You’re currently visiting with Kelly Kent in Bunbury, in the south west corner of Australia.

If you’re already hopping, then I’m sure you loved what my friend Tanya Boser made.  Please keep hopping after me to visit Cindy Elam in the US!!!

What’s the theme today, I hear you ask?

We are all sharing projects that feature the Merry Cafe stamp set from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

This stamp set is only $30 (Australian currency) and is a perfect compliment to the Coffee Cafe stamp set and Coffee Cups Framelits.

There’s a fabulous range of applications for this stamp set from Christmas to Halloween, fall (autumn), love, get well & all those cute picture stamps.  This set has 29 stamps in total!

I just love the font for the Merry & Christmas stamps, so this was my starting point to create some cute little gold embossed tags using the new Everyday Label punch…

The punch has a bottom curve as part of the design, but I wanted a flat bottom, so I just lined up the punch along the bottom edge of the cardstock to create a unique shape.

I finished the tags with a strip of Be Merry DSP (which you can find in the Annual Catalogue).

After the cute little tags, I went in a completely different direction for my other 2 projects.

I wanted to show how versatile this stamp set is going to be all year round….

For this card, I’ve teamed it up with the gorgeous ‘hello’ stamp set from the “Hello Friend” stamp set.

The Merry Cafe pieces formed the decoration for the panel on the left….

It’s so easy to create your own cute patterned cardstock with all the little stamps in the Merry Cafe stamp.

They are designed to be 2 layer images, but I used them independently to create solid shapes & outlines.

Do you love the colours?  I love gray with almost any combination.  Here I’ve matched it with Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay.

The last project uses the petite ‘perk up’ coffee cup from the Merry Cafe stamp set but I’ve masked out the ‘perk up’ and put in the “par-tea in a cup” stamp to turn it into a birthday card.

Just a CAS (clean & simple) card with cute colours & a rocking sentiment!  It doesn’t always have to be fancy.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today.  I had so much fun designing them – there’s so much potential in this stamp set.
