Hi there! Welcome to another Stamping Sunday blog hop.
We are a group of international demonstrators invited by Sara Levin to hop with her on the 4th Sunday of each month.
You can see the full line up of participants this month by clicking on the cute blue frog.
You are currently hopping with Kelly Kent from Bunbury, in the south west of Australia.
Each hop has a theme, and I’m delighted that this month it’s all about the Naturally Eclectic Suite from the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! ® Annual Catalogue.
This is probably one of my favourite product lines from the catalogue!
I love the colours, patterns and styling of this suite. It’s perfect for layering!!!

For this hop, to show off my favourite elements of the suite (which is all of it!), I made a ‘missing you’ card and birthday bon-bons.
Here’s both projects in more detail (warning: lots of photos today!)…
The stand out winner for me in this suite is the lattice die from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits. It’s very pretty and wonderfully versatile.
I have used it in the card to create a window for the shaker element (it doesn’t have a solid outline, so it creates a great window), to create the shaker confetti and as a background element on the card base!
The Eclectic Layers Thinlits are fabulous. Several of the pieces are designed to only emboss (not cut) – which adds great variety to the die set.
The heart die is one the embossing patterns. I’ve embossed it on Berry Burst and Dapper Denim and then snipped around the shape with scissors.
There’s 4 sweet sentiments in the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. I’ve stamped the ‘missing you’ but cut it into single words before adhering it over my hearts.
The other 3 sentiments (“you’re so lovely”, “oh, hello friend” & “I like you”) were perfect for these bon-bons (crackers) I made with my envelope punch board using the gorgeous Naturally Eclectic DSP.
I finished the ends with the new Crinkled Ribbon – it’s so soft and ties beautifully!!!
Each bon-bon has a body wash from The Body Shop. You could fill with other small treats, but I often give these away as birthday gifts, so have designed the measurements to fit!
Making another appearance is the lattice die, so the recipient can see what’s inside their gift without breaking it open!
And each bon-bon is embellished with the flower & leaf die cuts, with a stamped flower sentiment.
The cardstock packs that are available to coordinate with each DSP pattern are a great way for stampers to build up their paper stock – and have the colours they need to match each DSP!
To make your own bon-bons (for birthdays, Christmas or other occasions where you need cute packaging!):
- Cut a piece of DSP at 8″ x 6″
- Score (going down the long edge, across the short edge) at 1-3/8″, 2-3/4″, 4-1/8″ & 5-1/2″
- Fold along the first score line and insert into the Envelope Punch Board at 1-3/4″ and punch
- Repeat for all score lines (fold, punch) and finally without any folding on the edge
- Do the same for each score line, 1-3/4″ from the other edge
- If you want the peekaboo window, cut with the lattice die
- Adhere along the 1/2″ strip to create a box shape
- Finish with ribbon on each end & embellishments on top
I took quick photos of a template to show you how it folds into the EPB…
and what it should look like before you stick it together (this is without the peekaboo window).
Thank you for hopping with me today. If you’re following in order, the next stop is the gorgeous Danielle Bennenk in the Netherlands!
Click on the cute blue frog for the complete blog hop list. You can hop through the order, or choose as it suits you!
No matter where you visit, you won’t be disappointed with the amazing range of projects created by the Stamping Sunday Design Team!
I hope you enjoy the last moments of your weekend!
I’m in the middle of another great book (this one by Australian author Fiona Palmer), so it’s a cosy corner with a cup of tea and more Australian romance for me!
