Do you remember the pirate ship birthday invites? Well, to get a card worthy of those invites, I had to go the extra mile for the birthday card! So, using a similar ship design, I created another treat cup flip/easel card featuring a naughty pirate walking the plank. The best part – when you ‘flip’ the card, the pirate ‘falls’ off the plank. I love handmade cards – how could you not? #defnotahallmark. Kelly x
Lego is back in fashion again thanks to a new LEGO movie. Having two young girls, Lego is not yet on our radar, so I haven’t seen the movie – but I hear it’s good.
The request for this card was something ‘Lego’. Lego is a lovely punch art theme – all circles & squares. In my big new catalogue order, I purchased Hello Honeycomb specifically for the little sentiments. I got a chance to break it open for this card because they fit beautifully into the 3/4″ “Lego” circles. Rather than a standard C6 card, the dimensions are 6″ x 4″ to fit the straightforward maths needed for the blocks [my Lego blocks are 1″ x 2″, 1″ x 2″ or 1″ x 3″].
If punch art isn’t your style, but you know a Lego fan, then take a looksee at the new Boys Will Be Boys stamp set – it has a great Lego blocks stamp. Good for the little ones and the big kids at heart! Kelly x
