Going Global – Marker & Ink Refill INSERTS in German & French

It was only today that I remarked to a stamping friend – “how did we ever craft without the internet?”.

And with access to so much information on the internet comes globalisation of our stamping circle.  I am pleased to have stamping friends across the world from many different nationalities.

I know that most of my blog visitors each day come from places other than Australia – and this is wonderful!

So, when I got an email from a new stamping friend – Claudia Ausborn – asking if there was a way to modify my marker inserts to her native German, I thought this was a great chance to add another set of inserts to the range.

You can find the current Stampin’ Up! clear case colour collection in English here.

I’m pleased to introduce….

After feedback on previous sets, I’m also trying pdf version of each colour collection, in the hope that this will make it easier to download & print.

They should load by clicking on each picture set below.

I hope you enjoy them!

If you have any issues with downloading them, please get in contact with me.

OnStage 2017 – New Colour Reveal!

One of the main highlights of a Stampin’ Up! event is all the sneak peek opportunities.  We saw so many beautiful things on Saturday – including the 2017-2019 In Color range.  You are going to love it!!!

From this morning, all demos have access to view the new colours & annual catalogue online – can you feel the excitement?!

Although I can’t share the inside pages of the catalogue with you unless you join my team, I can share some of the sneak peeks here on my blog.

And I can share the retirement list from the current Annual Catalogue and the Occasions Catalogue!  Click here to see what doesn’t make it to the next catalogue.

Are you ready for the new colours?  These pretties will launch on the 1st June 2017.

Allow me to introduce to you the 5 new beautiful In Colors…

Of course when new colours come out, we’re desperate to see them in action.

Here’s a comparison between the new colours & similar existing colours within the range.

These samples are from my Display Board at OnStage Perth. The card base is a Whisper White notecard.  The sentiments are from the new Eastern Beauty stamp set (available to as a special preview suite on 1st May) and the colour strips are using the new Decorative Ribbon Border punch.

Stampin' Up! 2017 In Color Comparison - Berry Burst | Kelly Kent mypapercraftjourney.com

I could have actually done a green comparison too for Tranquil Tide – it’s a transient colour in that the way you perceive it changes based on what colours you match it with!  Cool, hey!

The new colours are just beautiful!  Do you have a favourite?

I always have an instant favourite – Berry Burst and a slow burn…. one I didn’t think I’d love until I started using it.  I wonder which of the other 4 that will be… there’s a little niggle telling me it’s going to be Lemon Lime Twist.  Watch out for some bright and fun creations over the next year!

New colours need more storage, so please download, use and share my marker and ink refill inserts.

We’re ready to say hi!!!

Mr Papercraft’s Ice Cream Van

It’s a big happy birthday to Mr Papercraft today!!!

He’s a tough customer to make cards for because his hobbies are all very similar.

Over the years, his cards have had very strong diving, fishing & boating themes.

When I saw the ice cream truck stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, I knew this was the perfect card for 2017!

Mr P loves food made or sold from a truck!

Every festival & fair we go to, he’s in there buying ice creams and hot dogs and donuts (well, the donuts might be mine!).

{He also loves Lindt chocolate!}

Tasty Trucks Birthday Card. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

Tasty Trucks is one of the free product choices during Sale-A-Bration 2017.  Yours to select with any $90 order until 31st March 2017.

I used the new Love Notes Framelits to create a money pocket at the bottom of the card and tied it all up with the new cotton ribbon.

So when the ice cream truck next cruises by, he’s gone some loose change to buy a birthday ice cream!

I am always so inspired by Judy May – her card inside are as amazing as her card fronts!

Part of my 2017 crafting resolutions is to go the extra mile on the insides of my cards!

One of the new products I’m loving from the Occasions Catalogue is the Watercolour Pencils.  They are beautiful on their own and amazing when finished with a blender pen or Aqua Painter.

For this card, I coloured using the Watercolor Pencils and went over the top with my blender pen, smoothing out the colour.

Tasty Trucks Birthday Card. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

Colouring isn’t my strong point – and not something I do often, but these pencils are just a dream to use.  They make it so easy to get a good coverage!

A little more practice and I might even be a convert!

The pencils come in a cute little box, but I can see that getting ratty over time – plus it’s a little tricky to see what colours are inside.

So, I’m housing my pencils in a clear case.  They will store perfectly with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I can pop other things into the case like a Blender Pen & pencil sharpener.

If you think this would be a great way to store your pencils, then download my free printable insert by clicking here (file download via Dropbox).

The correct size for printing is 17.8cm x 14.3cm.

You can find other printable inserts for Stampin’ Write Markers & Ink Refills by searching my storage category.

If you need to purchase clear cases, you can find them in my online store.  They are great for a range of stamping storage!!!

Happy birthday wishes to Mr Papercraft!  I hope you enjoy all the stamps I bought you (hehe just kidding…maybe).

Today is the first day of pre-order for demonstrators.  Some lucky crafters already have the 2016-18 In Color range in their hot little hands.

I am waiting {patienty} for my products to be packed, boxed & shipped before they begin their long sloooooowwwwww journey west.  The Nullarbor always seems the longest at pre-order time!

In 2016, we are excited to have Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach & Sweet Sugarplum joining us.

2016-17 In Colors. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

Have you seen some sneak peak posts showing off these beautiful colours?  I’m looking forward to sharing some with you once I get my very own cardstock, inks, markers & refills.

Until then, I love this set of cards made by Carolina Evans.

Thankfully, I’ve still been able to have a play with the new colours, even if it is in digital form.  Here are the new marker & ink refill inserts for the 2016-18 In Colors…

Purchase Stampin' Write Marker Inserts or Ink Refill Inserts custom designed for the colors you own. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

Although many of you have the full range of markers & ink refills to store in your clear cases, I know not everyone collects or stores by colour family.  So, this year I am trialling custom inserts.

How will it work?  Send me an email with the colour selection you required on each insert – up to 10 markers & 5 ink refills will fit on each design.  I will create your custom insert & email you the digital file once payment is received, which you can then print & use when you store your markers or ink refills.

Payment? Marker inserts will cost $2 and ink refill inserts will cost $1.  Prices are in Australian Dollars.  Once we have finalised your request, I will send a PayPal invoice.  You can expect to receive your files within 48 hours of payment.

Thank you for all the lovely crafters that share the link to these inserts.  Your support is wonderful and inspires me to keep updating the inserts year after year.

Now, to start stalking the postie so I have something to put in my 2016 cases!  Kelly x

PS, some of you have asked about the RGB codes.  Many thanks to Caroline Hallett – you can find them here and also here from Carol Dunstan.

All that Dazzle – Christmas glitter & storage download

I feel like I’ve crossed over to the sparkly side and now there’s no return.  I’ve been finding myself progressively adding more and more glitter, glimmer & sparkle to my projects.  A bit of dazzling details here, some glimmer paper there and don’t even get me started on the metallic finish in the Winter Wonderland paper!

So, with an increase in the glitter products in my stash, I needed a storage option for all my Dazzling Detail bottles (now that I have the whole set … how did that happen?).  They are the same size as the reinkers, so the half size wide cases are perfect match again!!!

Dazzling Details Storage Solution - free printable insert for a half size wide case. All 4 colours fit perfectly. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftourney.com.

Download the printable insert for Dazzling Details here (correct size for printing = 16.1cm x 8.3cm).

And whilst we are talking about glittery projects, we made this card during Tuesday’s class, with a few sparkly finishing touches…
Lighthearted Leaves - Dazzling Christmas Trees. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

The Lighthearted Leaves stamp set is firm favourite of mine.  It makes for great Christmas trees, made extra special with a few drops of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

I don’t love all the cards I make (most I do, but not all).  This card went off the ‘love scale’ – I love everything about it.  And I think it was the touch of glitter that clinched it.  Let the sparkle affair continue … Kelly x

Coordinating Storage – Stampin’ Write Markers

IMG_0308

Now that you’ve put all your ink refills into cases, it’s time to organise your Stampin’ Write Markers.  As they have tips at both ends supplied by a cartridge in the middle of the pen, it is ideal to store your Stampin’ Write Markers horizontally so that each end stays moist.  Storing them in clear mount DVD style cases is perfect.  If you’d like printable inserts for them (made by me in MDS), click on the links below.  You can download just the jpg files you need in each colour story, or download the Microsoft Word file – ready for printing.  There’s also a ‘blank’ insert if you don’t own whole colour collections, you can colour the ‘splatter’ with the matching pen and write it’s name on the line.  Each insert measures 17.8cm (5-5/8″) x 14.3cm (7″).  I love it when everything has a place.  In theory that should make it easier to clean up…. 2015 update – find more inserts here for the new colours introduced in 2015.

Sneak Peak – New In-Colours are a “Work of Art”

After spending some time with the new in-colours I have decided my favourite is Blackberry Bliss.  It’s rich and warm and gorgeous!!!  The other 4 colours are also beautiful and I can see them getting a lot of use (especially the Mossy Meadow & Lost Lagoon combo for some Wetlands cards!).  You don’t have to decide on a favourite straight away – the best way to try all 5 colours is in a Cardstock & Pad Kit.

To show them all off, I’ve made a matching card set using quite a few of the new products including the Work of Art stamp set, Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits & Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

I’ve also made an insert for ink refill – you can download this here – with all the new colours included [I needed to do a manual update for MDS for the new colours to appear – if you’re a MDS user, and you don’t have the new in-colours by now, you’ll need to do this too!].  The inserts for the existing colours and information on sizing can be found here.

So, as you can see I’ve been busy playing with my new products.  Not long now til you can order too!  The new catalogue starts 1st July 2014.  If you’d like a copy of the new catalogue, please contact me.  Or, if you live in Bunbury, please come to my launch on 5th July! Kelly x

Note: some of the links to new products in this blog post will come up with an error until the catalogue becomes available to the general public on 1st July 2014.

Storage Style – Ink Refills in Half Cases

I’ve been planning a revamp of my stamping ‘wall’ for quite some time.  One day I might be lucky enough to have a craft room, but for now I’m nestled in between the kids play table and the dollhouse/toy kitchen.  Earlier this year I added a 4×4 Expedit unit to my wall and just recently I added a Colcraft unit.  It looks amazing and I’m so happy with the quality and the finish.  Col from Colcraft made it just for me, based on a sketch I emailed him.  So, now I’m on a roll.  As you know, I love using the Stampin’ Up! cases to store all things stamping – stamps is just the start of their use.  [See here for ideas for the clear mount cases].  Well, this time around I used the Half Wood-Mount Stamp Cases to make a storage solution for my ink refills.  5 little ink bottles fit perfectly into a case.  You need 10 cases to house the current colours (they come in packs of 4, so you’ll need 2 & 1/2 packs).  Using my trusty MDS, I made inserts by colour collection for them, which I am delighted to share with you today.  What’s your storage style?  Make me jealous with descriptions or pictures of your craft haven.  Kelly x

These inserts have been made in MDS and saved as a jpg file.  Update (28.06.2014) – I have fixed the issue with resolution by hosting the files on Dropbox.  Click here to download the full size jpg files for each insert.  The finished size is 16.1cm x 8.3cm.  I found the easiest way to print (and ensure actual size) was to put each jpg into a word document, check the size, then print.  This also saves on paper as you can print more than 1 insert on each sheet of paper.
