Hello & welcome to another ESAD blog hop. This one features 24 awesome designers sharing with you their creations using products from the Holiday Catalogue. If you’ve just come via Barbara’s blog, then keep travelling until you get back there for lots more inspiration along the way.
The 2015 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue has been in circulation for a couple of weeks now and there’s some great ideas on Pinterest. Given it’s the ‘holiday’ catalogue, lots of the projects are Christmas, Halloween or Thanksgiving themed. I’m intending on sharing lots more seasonal craft with you between now & Christmas, but for me, sometimes the ideas that spring out of the pages of the catalogue are a little ‘outside the box’.
This was one of them…
When I first saw the Acorn Punch, all I could think of how it would be perfect to make Gumnut Babies.
Snugglepot & Cuddlepie are Australian literary icons that most Aussies will recognise from their childhood. The author of the Snugglepot & Cuddlepie books, May Gibbs, spent part of her childhood in a town called Harvey which is close to where I live.
So, as much fun as all the Christmas products have been, I wanted to share my super cute gumnut babies with you.
I’ve also made a picture tutorial in case you want to make your own “bush babies”. They use a few of our wonderful builder punches. The builder punches are awesome for punch art because of their versatile shapes.
If you’ve spent some time flicking through the holiday catalogue, you might also recognise some other new catalogue goodies in my cards … Lighthearted Leaves stamp set (clear catalogue favourite for me!), Into the Woods DSP & 1/8″ Garden Green Striped Ribbon.

There’s so much to fall in love with. My holiday catalogue wishlist continues to grow as I see how clever people around the world have used their new products. This blog hop is no exception!!!
Next stop on the inspiration trail is Jenny Hayward & her lovely holiday creations.
Please leave comments for the designers on your way around – we love to hear from you!
After seeing our work, are you wondering where we all came from? We are all Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from Australia or New Zealand who spend time on Facebook sharing our love of all things Stampin’ Up!. Here’s some more info…
Thanks for visiting us on another ESAD blog hop. One of the fun parts of creating is sharing the joy with others. Happy holidays! Kelly x
