Just Add Ink #406 | Sketch

Hello!  Welcome to challenge #406 for Just Add Ink – a great sketch from Tina.

No automatic alt text available.

Diagonals are totally out of my comfort zone – which makes it the perfect challenge!

This was the inspiration for some welcome cards for new members of our Paper Adventures team.  Kristen and Malissa joined during Sale-A-Bration – hello ladies!!!

This is the first version using the super cute Hedgehugs stamp set (available now and carrying over to the new catalogue) and Myths & Magic Washi (on the retirement list).

Just loving this colour combination at the moment!  Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray & glitter!

The second card uses the oh-so popular Daisy Delight stamp set (available now & in the new catalogue) and Delightful Daisy DSP (on the retirement list – stock up now!).

It’s always hard when a favourite stamp set carries on but the coordinating DSP is no longer available!

Don’t worry, I know you’re going to find lots of new favourites in the catalogue.

All of my team, including new members Kristen & Malissa, have been able to look at the upcoming catalogue and are currently able to add items from the Share What You Love pre-release.

This pre-release has the most beautiful DSP available – see the flyer here.  All items can be added to your Starter Kit – or any item from the current catalogues.  Starter kits are $169 ($235 of products, free shipping, 20% discount on future purchases).  Click here to start your Paper Adventure!

If you love the items in the Share What You Love pre-release, but the timing isn’t right to join our Paper Adventures team, you’ll be excited to know that the pre-release items will be available to add to customer orders from 1st May 2018.

If you love the sketch, please join the challenge by uploading your card on the Just Add Ink blog.

The highlight of our Just Add Ink week is seeing your creations!!!

Just Add Ink #362 – Colour Combo

Happy New Catalogue Day!   If you need more details and to see my top 10 list- see my post from this morning.

Tonight I’m sharing a card I made using the Just Add Ink Challenge Colours and some of the products from the 2017-2018 that are no longer upcoming, but here!!!

Image may contain: text

I, and I’m imaging many other crafters, will admit to these colours being out of my comfort zone.  Orange isn’t on high rotation for me – and with aqua/teal/blue…. I had to dig deep!

But they call it a challenge – yes?

I had fun putting my new products together.

This card is made using the Daisy Delight bundle (stamp set & punch) with the Eastern Medallions Thinlits.

The daisy is layered 3 times for lots of texture.  I stamped each daisy on Whisper White cardstock in Peekaboo Peach, coloured it with more Peach ink using my Aqua Painter and then cut each daisy out.

Don’t forget when mounting your daisy stamp, that you want to have petals pointing straight up & down (ie, 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock).  Stamp this way onto your cardstock and it will make it lining up the punch a breeze!

When putting the daisy layers together, space so that petal takes up a third of the gap between the petals (12 o’clock, 4 o’ clock, 8 o’clock).

If you try to put it in the middle (at 6 o’clock), the third daisy will sit behind the first.

How cute is that medallion as a backdrop?  The Eastern Palace Suite was available during May as a pre-release but only in a bundle.  You can now buy each products from the suite individually.

I highly recommend you add the Eastern Medallion Thinlits to you collection!

I carried the theme through to the inside of the card…

Make sure to visit the Just Add Ink blog where you can see the cards made by the design team.

Hopefully this will inspire you to add your own entry.  We’d love to see what you make!

There seems to be a common theme with the design team creations this week.  Can you guess what it is???
