‘Twas the night before retirement list and everyone was waiting! What will retire, what will stay??? The current Annual Catalogue finishes on 3rd May 2021 and the new catalogue joins us on 4th May 2021.
I’m guessing that we might see the retirement of some of the products I’ve used on this card….
The flowers are from the Country Home stamp set, the embossing folder is the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder and the sentiment is from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.
The pretty yellow patterned paper -which coordinates beautifully with the embossing folder is from the Fine Art Floral DSP. This won’t retire just yet – there’s a month of overlap between the Annual Catalogue and the Jan-June Mini Catalogue. I love this – it means we can mix and match more products as we explore the new Annual together with the mini.
We can never be sure what will make the list for another year and what will be replaced by new & fun products. Some of the things that might influence a product going into retirement include how long it has been in a current catalogue, popularity and how it fits into the upcoming product releases. However, until that list comes out, it’s all a guess!
Actually, not all a guess…. we know the 2019-2021 In Colors will definitely retire. Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile are all leaving us. Reinkers are always first to sell out as everyone makes sure they can continue to stamp with their favourite colours.
I’ll share the retirement list tomorrow. Once this list appears, some products will sell out quickly. All products on the retirement list are available until supplies in the warehouse sell out. So, if there’s anything you really want, you may want to place an order sooner rather than later! My online store is open 24-7 and shopping your pjs is encouraged! Click here to shop online.
If you have any questions about the retirement list, or want to share your retiring predictions with me, leave a comment below. I love hearing from you!
Hello! Welcome to Colour INKspiraton for March 2019. You may have just come here via our talented guest designer – Vicki Boucher. Wasn’t her project great! If you’re starting here, be sure to keep hopping until you reach Vicki to see all the great projects.
As always, it’s a gorgeous colour palette. I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of flowers! But I can’t wait to see what else might come of these colours!
This challenge is bright and fun and I also can’t wait to see what you make with it. Join us on the Colour INKspiration Facebook page to share your project.
My card today was inspired by products I have sitting on my shelf that are very much part of the Stampin’ Up! range but don’t appear in the Annual or Occasions Catalogues. Can you spot them?
I’ve used Stampin’ Blends to colour the flowers & jug. If you’re a Stampin’ Up! addict, you’ll know that there aren’t specific Blends in Pear Pizzazz and Berry Burst – so I’ve just used the closest in the range – Old Olive and Lovely Lipstick.
For this card, I used the opposite combination – the jug & other set of flowers. I love that these pieces have been designed as builder pieces, so you can play around with the combinations. I’ve set it on a ‘coloured’ doily – but used the reverse side which is white!
The absolutely stunning DSP you spy is my Holiday Catalogue favourite – Frosted Floral Specialty. Every side of this DSP has a shimmer finish for a elegant touch to any card. The DSP is a lighter weight than usual – making it perfect for delicate projects such as origami and techniques such as ripping.
Another one of my favourite products from the Holiday Catalogue – that might be flying under the radar a little is the Braided Linen Trim. It’s quite like the Copper Trim in composition which means you can use it as it comes off the roll, or you can stretch it out for a different look. I love it!!! Click here to see it in the online store.
Happy birthday to my September teamies! Hope your birthdays were amazing.

Hello! Welcome to the September edition of our team blog hop.
I can’t wait for you to see what our Paper Adventures team have created for you this month. You may have joined me from Kim Oliver’s blog – thanks to Kim for being our amazing guest designer this month. There’s 7 stops today – 5 blogs and 2 Facebook pages. See below for the full list of participants.
The theme for today’s hop is “CAS” or Clean & Simple. Of course, everyone has their own definition of what makes a card clean & simple, but I like to think of it as a card that isn’t too fussy. Clean lines, straight edges, lots of white space and not too many embellishments.
Some people utilise this style really well, but it’s probably not my natural style. I do love my embellishments!
Every catalogue I buy the stamp set or bundle that everyone is raving about, but isn’t an instant love for me. I love being enabled by other people’s creativity. For the 2018 Holiday Catalogue, my enabled purchase was the Country Home stamp set.
This is my CAS creation…
The background is the Tin Tile embossing folder. Like so many of the embossing folders in the catalogues, they truly come to life when you see them used.
I’ve added the doily as a pop of colour against my white space.
The flowers are coloured with some of the new Stampin’ Blends available in the Holiday Catalogue (Light Real Red, Light & Dark Blackberry Bliss, Light Shaded Spruce, Dark Mint Macaron*) and the cotton flowers have been shimmered using the new (or returning – depending on how long you’ve loved SU! for!) Frost White Shimmer Paint.
*Mint Macaron is a colour shown in the Annual Catalogue.
Thank you for joining us for our Clean & Simple hop. Keep hopping to see what my talented teamie Mandy Depiazzi has created.
What are your weekend plans? It’s a long weekend here in Western Australia – I’m hoping for good sleep, lots of sunshine and some stamping.
I hope wherever you are in the world, your weekend is full of happiness and amazing weather!!!
