Stamp Review Crew – Sale-A-Bration 2017

2017-sab-banner

Hello!  Today you’ve joined us for a bonus hop with the Stamp Review Crew.

The Crew will be sharing creations that highlight stamp sets from the 2017 Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

It’s a ‘free for all’ – so I can’t wait to see the variety on this international showcase.

I’m highlighting the Tasty Trucks stamp set – it’s so fun & cute!!!

I’ve already made a food truck or 2 with this set (and used the sentiments lots!).

Since I love looking for alternative uses within a stamp set, especially on SRC hops, I’ve thought outside the box and created 3 ideas that will help you to get the most from Tasty Trucks.

#1 – Birthday Banners

Don’t forget about the little stamps in set.  They often make great backgrounds – like this colourful & bright banner card.

#2 – Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Miss Papercraft got invited to a teddy bear’s picnic birthday party – what a cool theme!!!

I’ve paired the tasty food stamps with the bear from Cookie Cutter Christmas (which is still available in my online store) and the gingham pattern from Succulent Garden DSP.

#3 – Vintage Caravan Goodbye

I’ve been seeing some great adaptations of the food truck into other things, which got me thinking – it’s almost a caravan…

With a few alterations, this is my version of a vintage campervan…

I hope you enjoyed my ideas for the Tasty Trucks stamp set.

My projects form part of a blog hop, so continue on to see what Charlene has made using her Sale-A-Bration goodies.

If there’s a broken link anywhere along the hop, head back to the main page, where you’ll find a full list of participants.

Have a great day – I hope it involves stamping (or tasty treats!).

CASEing the Catty #107 Favourite Holiday Punch Bundle

12371218_10153736740662158_9102306381153319857_o

Hi there!  Thanks for joining me for the CASEing the Catty blog hop.

This week it’s all about our favourite Holiday Catalogue punch bundle.

Normally I struggle with ‘favourites’ – but this was a no brainer for me!

I have used the Cookie Cutter Christmas set more than anything else in the catalogue.

It is my favourite holiday catalogue punch bundle!!!

The image options are so versatile and super fun to use for the lighthearted Christmas approach!

It certainly came in super handy this week as I needed to create a Christmas Card gift set for an event prize.

The catalogue had three perfect inspiration options…

Images © Stampin' Up!

Which I adapted to for a set of standard sized cards.

I added a couple of gift tags made using the Cheerful Tags Thinlits…

And packaged it all up in a full side ‘wide stamp case’.

I love stamp cases – they are great for storing lots of craft items, but they also make fabulous gift packaging!

To transform from storage to packaging, you simply need to add a piece of DSP into the plastic sleeve on the outside of the case.

The measurements for the DSP for the wide case is 11-1/4″ x 7″, scoring 5″ from each short edge.

If you want to use the ‘standard’ (slim) case, the DSP measures 10-1/2″ x 7″ (still scored at 5″ from each short edge).

I’m very excited that the Cookie Cutter Christmas punch & stamp set are carrying over.  If you’d like to see the full list of retiring products, please click here.

Next stop for some punchy inspiration is the fabulously fancy Bronwyn Eastley.

Magical Reindeer Food

Happy Saturday!

Kristel and I are attending the Old Coast Market at Eaton Rec Centre tomorrow (9am – 2pm if you want to visit) and Mr P has given me the whole day to create!

I’ve just finished these magical reindeer food packets – how cute are they???

Magical Reindeer Food. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

This year I’ve filled my bags with non-toxic food based options.

There’s 2 choice of fillings

  • Moondust Munch (left – oats & jelly crystals)
  • Sparkle Crunch (right – Rice Bubbles & sprinkles / 100s & 1000s)

These have been popular in the past at Christmas time, so can’t wait to see the excitement tomorrow!

Ultimate PINK Blog Hop

Hello & welcome to a wonderful blog hop organised by Janet Wakeland.

What a great reason to hop – raising awareness for Breast Cancer!

I hope you have enjoyed the pink projects you’ve seen so far.

You’re currently visiting Kelly Kent in Bunbury, Western Australia.

Keep hopping after my project to see more great international creations!

As we near the end of the year (which is coming faster than I’m ready for!), I am being more organised than usual and trying to get some of the cards done that I know I’ll need.

I have two little ballerinas with an end of year dancing concert in a couple of months, so a card for their dancing teacher was definitely on my list.

And you can’t celebrate all things ballet without a splash of pink – which makes it perfect for this hop!

Here’s my ballerina bears….

Ultimate Pink Blog Hop - Ballerina Bears. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

The bears are stamped in Crumb Cake using the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and their cute little ballerina tutu dresses are made using the Blossom Builder punch.

Add some bling bows – in pink of course and some sparkles and the bears are dressed & ready for the concert!

Ultimate Pink Blog Hop - Ballerina Bears. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

The sparkles & pink on the front wasn’t quite enough for the Ultimate Pink Blog Hop, so I also decorated the inside of the card with a custom sentiment…

Ultimate Pink Blog Hop - We Love Dancing. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

Now, to keep this one away from the Little Misses until it’s ready to give to their wonderful ballet teacher.

I suspect it would get an extra special finish if they helped!!!

If you love this card, I’d love for you to make your own version.  The world needs more pink ballerina bears!!!

To keep hopping, click on the next participant from the link below.  Or choose a blog at random & keep hopping!

Thanks for joining me – and thanks to Janet for organising!

Let’s Go – 2016 Holiday Catalogue: Christmas & MORE!

Holiday Catalogue 2016 Cover

It’s time – after weeks of seeing the glorious samples coming from the craft tables of demonstrators around the world, everyone can now order from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.

It’s 56 pages of stunning new products for all your Christmas projects & {MORE}!

View the catalogue here, browse the online store or email me to request a card copy (Australia only).

I’m expecting the Cookie Cutter bundle to be a hit with young & old for it’s cute and veratile images.

Reindeer & Santa for Christmas; Eskimo, Gingerbread Man & Teddy Bear for year-round fun!

The matching punch makes it a dream to punch out the shapes including builder pieces such as buttons, bows, hearts and eyes.

It teams well with other Christmas items you already have – like the Perfect Pines stamp set.

2016 Holiday Catalogue - Cookie Cutter bundle. Santa + Perfect Pines stamp set. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

Other items to look out for in the new catalogue:

  • Candy Cane Lane DSP (pg 5)
  • Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape (pg 5)
  • Copper Foil (pg 47)

The Holiday Catalogue isn’t just about Christmas.  There’s also Halloween (which you may not be into, but this section is great for ideas for little & big boys!), spring/summer and new year.

I made this fun birthday card using a combination of products from the second half of the catalogue and the Number of Years/Large Numbers set from the Annual Catalogue.

2016 Holiday Catalogue - Petals & Paisleys DSP & Pumpkin Pie Glimmer. Number of Years & Large Numbers Framelits. Kelly Kent - mypapercraftjourney.com.

The flower pattern at the top of the card is sponged with the new brayers (so lovely!) in Rich Razzleberry ink over Irresistibly Floral DSP.  Such a fun technique – you should try it!

The pretty pattern at the bottom is Petals & Paisleys DSP and the numbers are using Pumpkin Pie Glimmer.  So much fun!

And if the excitement of the Holiday Catalogue wasn’t enough, Stampin’ Up! also have Special Offers during September.
