Social Stamping | Circle Celebration

That’s a wrap on Social Stamping at the Taste of Dalyellup cafe for Term 1, 2021. Thank you to all the wonderful stampers who joined us. We held our final session of the term on Monday and the vibe was great. So many great conversations, lots of laughs and of course, some creative stamping. You can check out one of the cards we made on Sunday’s blog post by clicking here.

Today I’m sharing the other card, plus a couple of variations to show you how easy it is to use this set for the most versatile card option ever. The stamp set is Circle Celebrations. Circles work for any age, gender and with embellishments or other stamps, you could use it for pretty much any occasion too. These cards use the circles together with the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set.

These were the two layouts I created to inspire creativity on Monday. As always, stampers were welcome to use the pieces in their kit to create their card in whatever design they wanted. There were some wonderful variations using the circles in different patterns, creative use of the white space and varying sentiment placement.

The colours are a Bermuda Bay base, Coastal Cabana mat, Bermuda Bay sentiment and circles stamped in Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Pretty Peacock, Smoky Slate and Memento Jet Black.

I wanted this card to be suitable for a male or female birthday, so I’ve left off any bling, ribbon or embellishment – other than the Brick & Mortar embossing on the base layer.

If you’re creating cards at home and want one to give and a spare for your stash, I suggest cutting two of everything and then creating an alternative by changing the orientation of the card and styling of the layers.

And then if you want even more bang for your design, change up the colours, embossing folder or layout. The stamp set works really well in any ombre (or coordinating) colour palette.

Thank you to everyone who supported Social Stamping this term – and to Tony & Ivory at the Taste of Dalyellup cafe for hosting us each week. We’re taking a break over the school holidays & ANZAC Day period and will be back on Monday 3rd May (week 3 of Term 2). This coincides with a new catalogue launch and we can’t wait to show you some great new products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.

I’m able to order catalogues and new products soon, so I’ll start sharing those next month. If you’re a regular customer of mine I’ll have a new catalogue ready for you to post or deliver as soon as they arrive. If you’re new to Stampin’ Up! and live in Australia, please let me know and I’ll get one in your hands.

Enjoy this beautiful Wednesday!

Hydrangea Housewarming

Today I’m sharing a house warming card. The Hydrangea Hill DSP set the tone of the card and helped with choosing the colours and styling for this pretty creation.

I set the DSP out in a patchwork style layout – two large squares and eight small squares. On the large squares, I added circle embellishments using stamps front the Circle Celebration stamp set and a house die cut from the now retired Home Together Dies.

The sentiment for this card is from the A Grand Kid stamp set. I don’t have grand kids, but this set is perfect for so much more than that!

The butterflies are from the Fluttering Dies – cut on the DSP over a hydrangea. The colours in the card are Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose, Highland Heather and Basic White.

This card was fun to make and it a layout you could use with any DSP. The most wonderful thing about Stampin’ Up! DSP is that they’ve already coordinated the colours and patterns for you, so it all just works!

If you need to order DSP or any Stampin’ Up! products, you can shop in the online store 24-7. New or regular customers can select me as their demonstrator using the demonstrator locator (“Kelly Kent” + Dalyellup, WA). Happy shopping and stamping!

Circle Celebration

There’s only so many themes you can manage in crafting. So as the years go by we see the themes come & go. In the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalogue we’ve got more hearts, more flowers, another butterfly set, the return of dragonflies, succulents again, chickens back on the scene and more returning favourites.

One of the returning themes I was most excited to see was a gorgeous set of circle patterns. I love the combination of elements they’ve chosen in this artwork and it was in my top 5 stamp sets from the new mini at add to my collection.

Each of the circles offers a unique artwork style, but somehow they all seem to work together in an eclectic way!

Here’s a quick that was fun to put together in blue & green tones by layering the circles over each other. I started with the large watercolour circle and worked from there.

The colours are: Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Just Jade & Smoky Slate. I love an ombre colour palette!

The ‘hello there’ is from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. That font combination is an absolute winner for me!

This set has so many possibilities and will work so well with so many other sets in my collection. Welcome to the family Circle Celebration!

You can order yours in the online store.

You’re welcome!
