Colour INKspiration #50

There’s nothing like a splash of colour to brighten up the week!

Today is the start of a new challenge for Colour INKspiration and it’s so summery!  Take me there now!!!

Image may contain: outdoor

Unfortunately this amazing destination (or any other) isn’t on my foreseeable to-do list, so I’ll have to settle for the crafty version instead.

How about a cool & refreshing beverage???  A celebration of Colour INKspiration reaching 50 challenges!!!

Bubble Over | kelly kent

I haven’t used this stamp set in ages so it was fun to get it inky again!  I’ve kept the design CAS – clean & simple, allowing the colours to shine bright.

Remember my 2019 plan to use more embellishments?  I’ve added clear epoxy dots from a previous catalogue for a fun bubbly touch!

The “cheers” sentiment for this card is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.  This is another ‘staple’ set I highly recommend.  You’ll find it suits lots of occasions and in this case is perfect for my summery drinks.

Cheers! Here’s to lazy days and warm nights!!!  I plan on having a few cold beverages by the pool this weekend as we celebrate WA Day.

Next up on the Colour INKspiration blog hop is Jackie Aitken, a fellow “West Aussie” who will also be celebrating WA Day this weekend!  Visit Jackie to see her pretty card using the challenge colours.

Stamp Review Crew | Bubble Over

Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Hop.

Today this wonderful group of international demonstrators is sharing ideas using the Bubble Over stamp set – and coordinating Bottles & Bubbles Framelits.

This bundle is currently available in the Occasions Catalogue, but I’m pleased to be able to let you know that Stampin’ Up! has shared a list of some of the items we’ll see in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue – and Bubble Over is one of them!!!

So, enjoy today’s hop with lots of ideas you’ll be able to use for the next 15 months!!

My first card uses the stamp set together with the Truly Tailored stamp set & coordinating Tailored Tag punch.  You’ll also spy the Bubbles & Fizz DSP which is available until the end of the month as a Sale-A-Bration item (free with $90 purchase).

Bubble Over | kelly kent

My second card is a completely different style.  Instead of bubbles from drinks, I wanted a card with the type of bubbles that kids blow!  The small girl framelit from the Birthday Friends set was perfect in black to create a silhouette of a girl blowing colourful bubbles.

Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop | Masculine

Paper Adventures - Blog Hop Header

Welcome to our first Paper Adventures Blog hop of 2018!

We are lucky to be joined by January’s guest designer – the gorgeous Jenny Hall.  Jenny lives in the US and is currently freezing & surrounded by snow!

The theme for today’s hop is ‘masculine’ and I can’t wait for our talented team to share their ideas with you.

It’s a male heavy birthday month here at Papercraft HQ.  Mr Papercraft enjoyed his birthday earlier in the week.

I often make a couple of cards for him – one from me and one from the girls (you can see theirs here using the hilarious Dad Jokes stamp set).

This is the card I made for him to go with his beer using new products from the Occasions Catalogue.  You’ll see the Bubble Over stamp set, Bottles & Bubbles Framelits dies (page 32) and the awesome new Narrow Notecards & Envelopes (find them on page 19!), plus Tutti Frutti DSP (page 29).

Mr Papercraft’s favourite special occasion ‘treat himself’ beer is a local brew called Little Creatures Pale Ale.  One might actually call it a ‘craft beer’!!!

Bubble Over - Little Creatures | kelly kent

The brewery is about 2 hours from where we live now and 20 mins from where I grew up as a child.  Their venue is amazing and they serve yummy food too!

This is us enjoying a lazy afternoon at Little Creatures on a family holiday last year.  Little Creatures has a sand pit, so the Little Miss Papercrafts were off playing!

Mr & Mrs Papercraft | kelly kent

PS, the shirt Mr Papercraft is wearing in this photo is actually from a different brewery – “Beer is better than therapy”.  It always gets a good chuckle & nod from people who read it when we’re out!  Mr P loves his beer!!!

It was fun to take the elements of the beer design and use Stampin’ Up! products to create a crafty version.

And when you’re having fun, who wants to stop at one???

This is Mr Papercraft’s ‘everyday beer’ of choice – Carlton Dry.

Bubble Over - Carlton Dry | kelly kent

And his favourite holiday beer – Bintang (available in Bali)

Bubble Over - Bintang | kelly kent

The Narrow Notecards and Envelopes are a great size and the long narrow style adds some diversity to your supplies.

Each piece of Tutti Frutti DSP is softened with an overlay of vellum which curled in the heat of the day while I was quickly taking photos.  I don’t mind this look, but if you wanted it to stick, daub some Multipurpose Adhesive glue in the corners or use Fast Fuse.  Both are transparent options for sticking down vellum.

I also used the DSP to line the envelope for a great coordinating touch.  Cut a circle (any size smaller than the flap will work, I used 2-5/8″ from the Layering Circle Thinlits).

Bubble Over Beer | kelly kent

Do you have a favourite beer? I haven’t managed to acquire a taste for beer.  Every now & again I’ll have a sweet apple cider, but I can’t stand the smell/taste of beer.

Nanna Papercraft tried a Radler beer (beer with lime/lemon) recently and loved it!  It sounds interesting and refreshing!

There’s lots of amazing weather here in Western Australia at the moment.  We’ve been having lots of fun outdoors – I hope my craft table isn’t feeling too neglected!!!

Not quite the same story for Jenny with the cold & snow in the US!  She’s spending plenty of time indoors, though her boys have been home on a break from school, so I’m not sure her craft table has seen as much action as usual either!

Visit Jenny Hall next on the blog hop….

Thanks for joining us!
