It’s the fourth Sunday of the month, which is the special day I get to hop with my friends from Stamping Sunday.
You can find the whole line up for today’s theme by clicking on the little blue frog.
This blog hop brings you inspiration from all around the world – which is particularly relevant for this hop.
Given the different seasons that the Christmas period brings, we are either showcasing Beachy Little Christmas or Snowflake Sentiments.
Growing up in Australia, it’s most likely that our Christmas Day is going to be hot. I’m not actually sure I’ve ever spent a Christmas Day at the beach – but this is a very popular pastime for lots and lots of bronzed Aussies.
So, when I saw the Beachy Little Christmas stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue, I knew it was going to be fun!!!
I love all the parts of this stamp set and used most of them between my two projects today.
The first card is inspired by the tree in the stamp set, but I decided to transform the tree base to a string tree. Perhaps reminiscent of a tree made from old fishing nets???
I spent some time fussy cutting the beachy ornaments from the tree to add to my string tree…
I love the idea of a non-traditional tree with shells & starfish as decorations!
I couldn’t leave off the saying – it completes the theme, but I didn’t want to clutter the clean & simple design with a sentiment, so I popped it on the inside!
The second card uses the other sentiment in the set with another shell theme…
The shells are shimmery in the sunlight (which most of my photos are not for this post – I couldn’t get the lighting quite right!!!)
The inside is decorated for this card too!
The Merry Christmas comes from the Half Full stamp set – it’s my favourite ‘Merry Christmas’ stamp in the Holiday Catalogue.
Thanks for hopping with us today! Click on the blue frog to see who’s next on the hop. There’s bound to be a snowflake on the horizon!!!
It’s free shipping from 9pm tonight until 8.59pm tomorrow (WA time, midnight -11.59pm Sydney time).
