Happy Easter 2017!

I was going to post my 2017 Easter Treats tomorrow… but then I realised if you are a last minute crafter like me, they might be useful today!

But let me start off your day with one of my favourite memes that pops up every Easter…

This year, my Easter cards and gifts were nice & simple – which is often perfect!

But, I did make several of these Z-Fold planter box cards to share with special people.

I really loved the Basket Bunch and Basket Builder Framelit Dies for Easter this year.  They were cute & fun!!!

They are both currently on the retirement list – and at a discount.  It’s a great way to get stamps for next Easter at a great price!

This card is just like a normal Z-fold card but with cardstock stuck between the z-fold and the card base to create a planter box.

I did miss an easy ‘Happy Easter’ sentiment in this bundle, but I made my own using the ‘happy’ stamp from the Tin of Cards and Suite Sentiments stamp sets (both on the retirement list).

How cute is that bunny popping out the side when the card is closed???

The other Easter project I’m sharing with you is quick & simple.

I always have a stash of our 2″ x 8″ cello bags on hand because they make great gifts and you can fill them with lots of things including Easter eggs.

Add a cute bunny and they are ready to give out!

I hope you have a wonderful Easter filled with treats, fun and great company!

Easter Hats for an Easter Parade!

Today is the annual school Easter Parade and there’s nothing like a healthy Stampin’ Up! stash to make school events a little more fun!

The Little Miss Papercrafts and and I got busy repurposing some party hats into some cute easter hats with the help of the Basket Bunch stamp set and Basket Builder Framelits.

Do you ever craft with kids?  It’s so hard to let go of our creative perfectionist tendencies and just let them colour, arrange and embellish!

This is Alexa’s – she’s 6 and likes colouring the lines and arranging with flair….

The tassel addition at the top was completely Alexa’s idea!  I don’t use the fringe scissors nearly often enough!

This is Maddie’s – she’s 3 and follows no one’s rules!

Blue bunny?  Yes she did!

So cute in their hats!

After they posed so willingly (read: I had to bribe the little one with chocolate), they insisted on some live action hat shots too.

As far as Easter hat creations go, this bundle actually made this project a breeze!

The girls did all their own stamping & colouring, I was just on hand to die cut the pieces and regulate the use of Tombow!

What Will You Stamp is featuring this bundle this week – the design team has come up with so many cute creations!

I’m throwing my Easter hats into the ring (or parade!) as hopefully they might save a parent or 2 this week!!!

As we lead up to Easter, I’ll be sharing more Basket Bunch ideas throughout the week.

I’m loving this bundle for it’s fun images and cute sentiments!

A Basket of Birthday Wishes

I’ve been having a heap of fun using the Basket Bunch stamp set and matching Basket Builder Framelits to make cute little Easter gifts this year.

But, as with so many of the Stampin’ Up! products, it’s not just limited to an Easter theme.

The artwork in this stamp set is fun & playful – I love the style!

I used it this week to make a birthday card for a demo friend.

The flowers in this set are so cute and look beautiful with a bold splash of colour.

They are finished with a liberal application of clear wink of Stella – which of course is hard to catch in a photo!

Happy Birthday Megan – I hope you have a truly amazing day!

PS, there’s only 1 week left of Sale-A-Bration.  That means…
