This week at Just Add Ink, we’re playing with colours.
These colours, that were suggested by Nikki.
They are oh-so-pretty and I can’t wait to see what you all come up with.
I wanted these colours to be the ‘pop’ among a white CAS (clean and simple) card.
So, I’ve used my favourite lady from the Beautiful You stamp set to create this ‘thinking of you’ card.
Have you seen this technique before – where you stamp onto patterned paper, cut it out and stick it over your stamped image.
It’s called paper piercing. And it works so well with the Beautiful You ladies.
After making this version, I decided I wanted a happier one, so created another version with the dancing lady…
It seemed fun – and perfect for Mother’s Day with the pink & blue theme.
Please visit the Just Add Ink blog and see the beautiful creations the other design team members have made.
You can also join in the challenge there with your one Tempting Turquoise, Flirty Flamingo & Smoky Slate delight.
This week at Just Add Ink we’re creating to a sketch designed by Narelle.
I love this sketch and could make a dozen cards without blinking using the circles as my starting point.
It’s been all about new products lately, so I’m taking a pause and going back to some Annual Catalogue favourites with this foxy little baby card…
I love the products in the “A Little Foxy” suite.
For this card I’ve used all of them – the DSP, the punch and the stamp set.
Plus sentiments from the Tin of Cards stamp set.
You can see the ‘hello’ in this photo with a sneak peak of the inside of the card too.
I’m still working making the insides pretty as my 2017 goal!
Be sure to check in with the Just Add Ink blog as see what the design team have made this week. So many wonderful ideas all from the same sketch!
You’ll see lots of them feature the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies – because they are awesome. If you haven’t ordered them yet, you should!!! Click here to view them in my online store.
Please join us for the challenge this week and upload your card to the Just Add Ink blog.
This sketch is so easy to use – and will set you on the pathway to your own amazing creation!
I can’t wait to see what you make!
We must be back in a birthday orbit at the moment because this is the second kids birthday card I’ve shared this week! (Or is it the third?)
This card ended up being a comedy of errors to make. I had it all planned out in my head, but putting it the magic part together involved a fair bit of prising apart and re-doing.
I almost didn’t blog it but because it’s a cool card – I wanted to share. You are likely to be able to recreate it without the hassles I encountered!!! (I’m sure I did every step the hard way)
I also wanted to remind you that blog writers are normal crafters too – with just as many failures, ’roundabout’ creations and trial & error cards to their name as you.
Often you don’t hear about how many attempts it took to get the one you see in the photo, or how much cardstock ended up in the bin before we got it right! It can seem like you’re the only one making ‘templates’ (this is what my Tuesday class ladies call their practice attempts – templates that you go back to for measurements & reminders). I am here to tell you – EVERYONE MAKES TEMPLATES!
So, here is my magic dinosaur card…
Where’s the magic? Pull here and he goes from being an x-ray dino, to a ful colour T-Rex!
I had made the suggestion to Stampin’ Up! (on more than 1 occasion) that vertical sentiments would be awesome – and this catalogue we got them!!!! Yay – sometimes you just need a n option that goes up & down!
He’s not perfect, but he works (kinda… don’t pull too hard). I hope Mr 6 enjoyed the fun of turning his dinosaur card into full colour! Kelly x
Hello! It’s been a quiet weekend from me on the blogging front. I’ve been busy crafting but I couldn’t show you anything because they had to make their way to the intended recipients first!
And now they have, so it’s all systems go this week. Stay tuned for a week of great shares…
If you really want to say tuned, subscribe to my blog & receive emails every time I post.
Today’s share is Mr Foxy & his fabulous friends. We made Foxy for last night’s team meeting make & take project, but I wanted to make some friends to show my team what else this bundle can do.
There’s lot more this bundle can make. This is only the beginning of my Foxy love affair! Stay tuned… Kelly x
