New Stampin’ Up! is just around the corner!

It’s the 1st December and that means… Occasions catalogue pre-order!!!

There’s thousands of eager demonstrators around the world pouring over their new catalogue and selecting the items they first want to own from the 2018 Occasions catalogue.

I can’t wait to be able to show you the inside pages of the catalogue!

But for now, it’ll just have to be sneak peeks of what I’m making!

The theme of the new catalogue for me is ‘pretty’.  There’s lots of florals, pretty colour combinations and sweet images….

Like the birds from the Flying Home stamp set!

Occasions 2018 Flying Home | kelly kent

We made this sweet card at a demo class last month so I could show my team this gorgeous set that I got as part of my CentreStage experience.

We coloured the bird houses with the Stampin’ Blends.  They glide on – making colouring a dream!

The pretty paper is from the Sweet Soiree DSP.  Each sweet contains silver detail – it’s gorgeous!!!   And the sentiment?  You’re going to love the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set!

You might be happy to wait until 3rd January 2018 for new supplies but if you can’t wait, then join our Paper Adventures team.  You can add Occasions catalogue items to your Starter Kit ($169 for $235 of products with free shipping)!  And then enjoy a 20% discount on all your favourite Stampin’ Up! all the way through Sale-A-Bration 2018.

I’m ordering catalogues today.  If you’ve shopped with me in the past 6 months, I’ll make sure you receive one.  If you live in Australia, don’t have a demonstrator and would like a catalogue, please let me know and I’ll send one your way.

Twice As Nice with Color Me Happy

I’m going to start this post by saying my favourite words when it comes to shopping…

FREE SHIPPING!!!

No automatic alt text available.

That’s right!  For all of today (Sydney time) – midnight until 11.59pm or 9pm Sunday until 8.59pm tonight, Stampin’ Up! is covering the shipping on your order.  You can order online (the host code is: K3RDKZAT) or you can contact me and I’ll place an order on you behalf.

You can add anything to your cart and the final cost will be just your product total.  How awesome is that???

There’s no minimum or maximum spend.   So it’s a great chance to get those things you keep forgetting to order, or go nuts on your wishlist.

If you’re looking for inspiration for things to add to that shopping cart, the Stampin’ Up! world is loving the new Stampin’ Blends. See more info about them in yesterday’s ESAD blog hop.

Today I’m sharing the kit they’ve released to coordinate with the Blends – 16 cards in 4 designs that are perfect for colouring, with deluxe matching envelopes!

The card kit and clear stamp set is only $66.50 (with free shipping today!).

Great value – yes??? Beautiful colours – yes!!!

This is one of my favourite kits ever!  And if something is your favourite, you want to see lots of it – yes?

Stampin’ Up!’s kits are made with premium materials including card bases that are printed all the way across.  Without altering them, this means you get colour on the front & the back of the card.

While this is beautiful, it got me thinking about how I could use the quality of the kit materials to my advantage…

So, I cut the based up, added them with some of the supplies I already have in my stash to create two cards instead of one for each design.  And since you get 4 of each card type, I ended up with 8 of each design and 36 cards in total.

Color Me Happy Kit | kelly kent

Of course, this adds a bit of cost to the overall supplies used – but really, it’s coloured cardstock bases, Whisper White for stamping and some scraps of other coordinating colours.  Essentially, the cards are now twice as economical.  And at just over $2.50 each, they weren’t that expensive to start with anyway!

Color Me Happy Kit | kelly kent

8 of these cards are the square design in the kit, but when I changed up those designs, I added the square card base I’d cut to a full size coloured base – giving me 8 more full size cards.

Color Me Happy Kit | kelly kent

You could make all the cards full size if you didn’t like square cards (but then you wouldn’t get to use the ah-may-zing envelopes!!!).

Color Me Happy Kit | kelly kent

If you’re tempted to add some (or all) of the Stampin’ Blends to your order, or anything else on your wishlist, today is the day!

Free shipping til 8.59pm WA time tonight (11.59pm – EDST / Sydney time).

Or contact me direct so I can place an order for you.

ESAD Blog Hop | Stampin’ Blends

Image may contain: text

Hello! Welcome to another ESAD Blog Hop. To find all out about ESAD – who we are and where to find us, check out the graphic at the end of this post.

Today’s theme is Stampin’ Blends.  These gorgeous alcohol markers are either a new addition to the range or a returning friend – depending on how you look at it.

Stampin’ Up! released a range of alcohol markers a few years ago, but the formulation just wasn’t right.  So, they took them off the market and have spent those year developing an even better product.  You’ve got to love a company that refuses to sell something that simply isn’t the best for their customers!

The Stampin’ Blends are available in 12 colour pairs (light & dark), two skin tones and a colour lifter.  Buy the whole set or stock up a few colours at a time – the choice is yours!!!

My post forms part of a circle of posts, so make sure to keep hitting ‘next’ until you get back to where you started – that way you won’t miss out on a moment of inspiration.

If you’re not sure about whether you need these markers or not, I’m sure this blog hop will show you just how awesome they are.

The versatility of the markers is awesome.  Because they are alcohol based (rather than water based like our Stampin’ Write Markers), you can use them for a range of projects including colour blending on card and adding colour on alternative surfaces.

It’s the adding colour on alternative surfaces that excites me!!!

My share for today is some temporary tattoos I made for the little misses.

Stampin’ Up! doesn’t sell the tattoo paper (you can search for that online).  It was a recent impulse buy.  I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it, but then when the Blends came back on the scene, it was the perfect project!

The kids loved making them with me and they look so cute!!!

This is the mermaid from Message in a Bottle stamp set.

ESAD Blog Hop Stampin' Blends & Temporary Tattoos | kelly kent

Can you sense the excitement at personalised tattoos???

ESAD Blog Hop Stampin' Blends & Temporary Tattoos | kelly kent

Of course, tattoo fun must extend to both Miss Papercrafts, so we got to try out a few designs…

ESAD Blog Hop Stampin' Blends & Temporary Tattoos | kelly kent

The reindeer from Cookie Cutter Christmas was a little more fussy to cut, but a cute Christmas option…

ESAD Blog Hop Stampin' Blends & Temporary Tattoos | kelly kent

We also tried blending the colours – which worked out ok.  Because the tattoo paper surface is glossy, they moved around a lot, but we got some colour variation on the bird from Color Me Happy…

ESAD Blog Hop Stampin' Blends & Temporary Tattoos | kelly kent

And finally, a free hand rainbow (this is actually my favourite)!

ESAD Blog Hop Stampin' Blends & Temporary Tattoos | kelly kent

Make sure you follow the instructions that come with your tattoo paper, but the basic process for me was….

  1. Stamp the image in Memento Jet Black ink.  Give it some time to dry.
  2. Colour the image using Stampin’ Blends.
  3. Apply the adhesive tattoo transfer sheet.  Press firmly with the Bone Folder.
  4. Trim around the image leaving no border (if possible)
  5. Remove the protective sheet and apply face down onto skin.
  6. Wet the tattoo with a damp cloth or paper towel.
  7. Slide off the backing.

ESAD Blog Hop Stampin' Blends & Temporary Tattoos | kelly kent

The tattoo designs will either need to be stamped black images that you colour with the Blends or drawn freehand with the Blends as you can’t apply Blends directly to your stamps.

These tattoos are temporary.  Of the four we applied, two had come off within hours (quite a few hours – but they didn’t see the day out).  Two made it through the day, but the colour faded and the edges lifted.  This was amazing considering they lasted through sunscreen, sweat, two showers and a swim in the pool!

I actually don’t see the short term nature of the tattoos as a problem.  They are a great option for an occasion or special event without being left with a fading tattoo for the days or weeks afterward!  If you do want to remove them, they easily come off with some Isocol (rubbing alcohol).

Thank you so much for joining me for this blog hop.

Please keep hopping and visit the lovely Barbara Williams

OnStage 2017 – November in Melbourne

You’ve been warned… this post is long with lots of photos! (feel free just to look at the photos or skip on by the whole thing!)

The blackout period for OnStage news ended this morning, which means it’s time to share the event highlights (for me) with you.

Many thanks to Siobhan Fitzsimmons who unreservedly shared her photos with me, so I actually have some to show you!  I am terrible at remembering to take photos!!!  So, with her complete permission, what you see below (all with my watermark) are a mix of my iphone photos and Siobhan’s professional photos.  You’ll be able to tell the difference!!!

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

My trip to Melbourne started at 7.30pm on Thursday night – Mum and I travelled to Perth airport (about a 2 hr drive) and checked in for our flight to Melbourne.

This is us leaving Bunbury (you can see the excitement all over our faces!)

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

I was super productive during the wait for our flight and was able to get some blogging done so I had some posts to share with you while I was at the event having fun.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my team presents & OnStage swaps.  If you missed these posts, you can find the team presents here & swaps here.

By Friday, all 7 of the Paper Adventure Teamies attending the event had landed in Melbourne (albeit some a little more sleep deprived than others) so we set aside Friday as a team activity day.  We had a sensational brunch at the Grain Store in the Melbourne CBD, explored the markets and checked out the DFO.

This is us at brunch..

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

Around the table: Kristel, Sheila, me, Mandy, Siobhan, Amy & Anne.

Friday night was a team dinner for the rest of the team and the pleasure of a CentreStage leadership dinner for me. One of the privileges of my Silver Elite title is dinner and training on the night before the OnStage event.

Here I am all glammed up on my way out.  I actually didn’t take any photos at the event – too busy having a good time!

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

The CentreStage dinner was amazing – great company, lovely food, training that was just spot-on for my needs and some extra special gifts to take home with us including the new catalogue!

So while my roomies wondered what was in the new catalogue, I was already flicking through with lots of oooo-ing and ahhhh-ing over the wonderful items on every page.  Eventually I had to put the catalogue down and get some sleep because we had an early start the next day!

Saturday saw the 7 of us walk on over to the OnStage event at Melbourne Park (the tennis centre!)..  I felt so blessed to share the experience with such a fun, talented and awesome group of ladies!

We got a little excited about going as a team, so we had team shirts (designed by me) and team earrings (created by Kristel).

6 of my Paper Adventures team made the trip with me – I felt so blessed to share the experience with them!

We got a little excited about going as a team, so we had team shirts (designed by me) and team earrings (created by Kristel).

Here we are at the OnStage photo booth…

And of course we all took the drink bottles I designed as team gifts.  You’ll notice they coordinate with the t-shirts – every good stamper loves their coordinating range!

The day was filled with new products, old and new friends and all the fun of a wonderful Stampin’ Up! event.  You really can’t appreciate how special these days are unless you attend one.

Here are some action shots…

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

Those radiant smiles you see in all the photos are 100% natural – it’s such a buzz being at a Stampin’ Up! event.

Amongst the day’s activities, we saw the amazing achievements of demonstrators at the end.  Several of my team got recognised for Quick Start (way to go Sheila & Mandy) and promotion to Bronze Elite (big congrats Siobhan, Sheila & Mandy!).

I got recognised for sales, leadership & recruitment, which I found out this morning, all added up to being the #28 demonstrator in Australia for the 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! year.  Thanks for all the support!!!

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

I also got to walk across the stage to recognise my 5 years with Stampin’ Up! and achieving 100,000 Flex Points for the year (earned through sales, recruiting, leadership and other promotions).

My stage walk was fun and got me a snuggle with the gorgeous Bonnie from the US office!

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

Across the day we got to hear about & see the new products being released in the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogues, we got to take some new products home and we got to stamp 4 projects with the new catalogue items.

Here’s a look at my ‘stash’ by the end of the event…

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

Stampin’ Up! is celebrating 30 years of business next year, so they spoiled us with some exclusive merchandise – a cute little shopping bag and a 30 year pin.

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

Our bag (the orange on the bottom layer) contained a stamp set, notebook, pens and mug at check in.  And then I filled it with more stamps through the day from Prize Patrol, an all-attendee giveaway and a stamp set from the tools we used for our stamping projects.

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

Did I mention we stamped???

Four awesome projects, all with new items that you’ll be able to purchase from 3rd January 2018  (or 1st Dec 2017 if you’d like to join our Paper Adventures team).

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

This is the Bubble Over Collection – super cute for all ages…

Bubble Over | kelly kent

The Sweet Soiree Collection – these colours just make my heart sing!

How cute are the boxes and that DSP – oh-my!!!

Sweet Soiree | kelly kent

Petal Passion Collection – it’s all black & white, but you can add pops of colour (like in this card) to transform it to all kinds of occasions and styles…

Petal Passion | kelly kent

And finally the cute little tags are from the Tutti-Frutti collection. You know those times when you see something in the catalogue and think you don’t really need it, but then you stamp with it and before you know it, it’s on your order…. well, that happened to me with these cute little fruits!  #sorrynotsorry #itwasthepineapples

Tutti Frutti | kelly kent

Saturday finished for us with a dinner shared with a group of amazing designers from the Just Add Ink / Colour INKspiration / CASEing the Catty design teams.  We hit up Chinatown for a banquet dinner complete with deep fried banana & ice cream – yum!!!

Sunday saw the end of the stamping and a day to sleep in, explore Melbourne, catch up with one of my friends from uni (who now lives in Melbourne) and see a show.  I could have easily stayed the rest of the week in Melbourne – my exploration was really only the tip of the iceberg.

Melbourne really turned on the weather for us – it was sensational!

Melbourne | kelly kent

I totally fell in love with the culture, vibe and energy of the Melbourne CBD.

Monday saw the trip back to Western Australia.  There wasn’t any blogging on the way back, just a special Stampin’ Up! order to place of all my new catalogue favourites.  I’m looking forward to sharing some sneak peeks with you over the coming months.

I had two very happy little Miss Papercrafts greet me when I got home.

Maddie helped me model my new Stampin’ Up! t-shirt – a beautiful gift from CentreStage…

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

And then I lost them to the presents I brought back from Melbourne.

A new book collection for our bookworm…

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

And a game for the family to play….

OnStage 2017 | kelly kent

Mr Papercraft was too busy eating Haigh’s chocolate to pose for a photo!

It’s lovely to be back at home, but Melbourne was a memorable experience that I’m so grateful for.

I’m already planning for the next event in November, because guess what???  We’re going to Perth!!!

The OnStage Live event is in Orlando and the three South Pacific local (one day) events are Perth, Sydney and Auckland.

Anyone who is a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! at he time of the event can go!

Join my Paper Adventures team between now and January and you’ll be able to register for the event.  Need more info?  Click here to see my joining page or contact me to chat through the details.

Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is truly amazing – what a great family to be part of and great ‘paper adventures’ to be had.

Thank you to my family in Bunbury for making it possible for me to go east to feed my own passion, my teamies who joined me on the adventure, all of my team for supporting me, the Stampin’ Up! staff for putting on such a great event, the demos who took part by setting/packing up, creating samples or doing a presentation and the wonderful group of demonstrators I spent the day with.

See you in April, when we do it all again!

This is oh-so-exciting.  It’s been developed by demonstrators to suit the needs of crafters!

There’s 3 opportunities to reserve your own Stamparatus…

Stamparatus Pre-Order Dates

Reservations will be available on the dates above (from 5am Perth time on 17th Nov, 6th Dec and 16th Jan).  These reservation windows will allow Stampin’ Up! to accurately predict how much stock they need to order from the supplier and limit disappointment when new and exciting products go on backorder!

During these dates you can reverse your Stamparatus by clicking here.

Once your Stamparatus becomes available, you can take advantage of any promotions running at the same time (like Sale-A-Bration!).

I’ve answered most of the questions I think you’ll ask above, but you can read the full FAQ questions document by clicking here.

The Stamparatus Reservation Tutorial can be downloaded here.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

There is no doubt over the coming months that everyone is going to be talking about the Stamparatus and you’re going to want to get your hands on one!

If you’re even a little bit curious, make sure you get a reservation.  You can always cancel your reservation if you change your mind.

Don’t you just love new toys that make stamping even easier???  I know I do!

How many sleeps til 1st Feb???

Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop | Favourites

Paper Adventures - Blog Hop Header

Hey there!!  Thanks for joining our Paper Adventures team blog hop for October!

The theme for this hop is ‘favourites’.  I wanted the team to share some of their style and personality with you – so keep hopping to learn more about what makes stamping fun for them!

If you haven’t started here, then you may have hopped over from our guest designer – Angela Meiritz-Reid.  She is every bit as gorgeous in person as she is online and we are delighted she agreed to hop with us today.

Next up is the host with the most – Siobhan Fitzsimmons!  Click on ‘next’ at the end of the post to see her favourites!

Siobhan hosted us at her beautiful homestead in the Perth hills on Sunday.

We turned our regular team meeting into a whole day retreat.  It was a wonderful luxury to share craft time with an amazing group of ladies.

The creative part of the day was filled by shoebox swaps.  Every team member designed a project and brought everything they needed to complete the card – all in a small box.

The cards were beautiful, with a gorgeous variety.  You might see some of them tonight!

Here’s an action shot of the shoebox swaps.  Thanks to Siobhan for the excellent photography!

This is what my swap looked like all packed into the box…

Stampin' Blends | kelly kent

So, my favourite???

It’s new things!  There’s nothing more exciting to me than the privilege of owning new stamps, ink, paper & tools!

My card features two new products  – Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) and a cute new stamp set called Colour Me Happy.

Here’s my beautiful markers….

Stampin' Blends | kelly kent

They are an absolute dream to colour with!  The easiest alcohol markers you’ll ever use.  And they match our existing colour range!!

My card features three of the marker duos – Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight & Pool Party.

Stampin' Blends | kelly kent

Demonstrators were lucky enough to have a special ordering period for the new Stampin – available for everyone to order.  If new things are your favourite too and you’d like to be able to order first (and at a discount!), you should join our Paper Adventures team. Click here for more info!

If being a demonstrator isn’t for you just now, the Stampin’ Blends will be available to purchase on 1st November 2017.

Stampin' Blends | kelly kent

With 3 catalogues a year plus limited edition releases, there’s never shortage of new favourite products to own!!!

Next up on the journey of favourites is Siobhan Fitzsimmons – she has a favourites list as long as mine, so I can’t wait for her to narrow down just one favourite to blog about!!!

Thanks to my amazing team, and our fabulous guest designer, Angela, for sharing their favourites!  I always love seeing what others are swooning over!

I know my wish list will grow seeing all the fantastic projects!!!

Luckily, there’s always a stamping order just around the corner in my house!
