Hello 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue!!

06.01.19_HEADER_AC_LAUNCH_UKSP

It’s time!  The launch of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue happens today!!!

If you haven’t yet seen the catalogue in person, click here to view the pdf copy.  You may also like to contact your local demonstrator to request a hard copy – as the only thing better than flicking through the pages of a catalogue, is having the products in your hands!!!

There’s lots of love in the new catalogue.  It’s filled with pretty suites, fabulous stamp, dies & punches, gorgeous papers, awesome new colours, sensational embellishments and fantastic ideas!

I’m starting the new catalogue with a ‘hello’ card. This sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set seemed fitting!  I’ve framed it in a Stitched Nested Label – one of the must have products of the new catalogue!

Good Morning Magnolia | kelly kent

This stamp set contains a very large magnolia stamp.  It’s amazing – incredible for being the feature of your card and awesome for colouring.

The magnolia is stamped in Early Espresso ink with Mossy Meadow watercoloured leaves.  I’ve dabbed the middle of the flower with some Rose Gold Shimmer Paint that came with the Everything is Rosy Product Medley in May.  If you didn’t order the Everything is Rosy Medley, you can achieve a similar look with Blushing Bride ink and Wink or Stella or Champagne Shimmer Paint.

Good Morning Magnolia | kelly kentThe flower is slightly too large to sit well in the landscape orientation, so I’ve trimmer the bottom leaf and tucked it behind the flower.  I like this layered look.

The DSP is one of the patterns from the Magnolia Lane DSP.  The colouring for the magnolia on this card was inspired by another sheet of the DSP.

If you’re looking for more magnolia ideas, I love this colour resource by Bronwyn Eastley – click here to see her magnolia colour combinations.  Thanks for sharing Bron!

2019 Annual Catalogue DSP Shares

Stampin’ Up! have come up with a winner (again!) with a fabulous new catalogue set to launch next week.  With so many amazing products, your catalogue is sure to be marked with lots of ‘need it’ flags.

Let me help your Stampin’ Up! budget by offering a 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue DSP Share.

What is a “Share”?

A share is a select range of products from the catalogue broken into smaller quantities so that you can order more of your favourites.  Smaller quantities means a smaller cost.  Think of it as a try before you buy option – or a get it all now option.  Buy {ALL} the DSP designers as a ‘sampler’ – allowing you to see the detail, patterns and weight of each DSP before committing to a full pack.  For the designs you love, there’s always the option on a later order to add a full pack!

What makes up a “Share”?

I’ve calculated what I need for each share, how many people the share will include and the total cost.  I collect orders until I fill the share and then I order all the materials required for the share.  Once they arrive, I cut the paper or ribbon and package for delivery or pickup.

How do you get your items?

Prices are for local pick up from Bunbury, Western Australia.  Postage is available Australia wide at a flat rate cost of $8.50.  If you need to add postage, please click pay for postage below.

DSP Share – Add Postage

Pick-up in Bunbury not possible? Add postage to your order for Australia wide delivery in a tracked satchel

A$8.50

When do you get your items?

DSP Shares will be ordered as soon as the required places are filled.  From this time, it takes approximately 2 weeks for the paper to arrive to me and it to be cut & packaged.  If you are local & picking up, I will contact you to arrange a pick up date.  If you have opted for postage, I will contact you with a tracking number once your parcel is posted.  Postage of the DSP Share to you will add extra time (at the mercy of Australia Post).

In the unlikely event I am unable to complete the numbers required for a share, I will refund your purchase via PayPal.

I will communicate each step of the way with you so you know just where your DSP is at!

Welcome Rococo Rose!

I posted Clear Case Inserts for the 2019-2021 In Color range on Saturday and I asked you which In Color was your instant favourite and if you could guess mine.

Hands down, without hesitation, my favourite is Rococo Rose.  I have been asking for a colour in this tone for ….. well, ever!  Ever since I started using Stampin’ Up!  I’m so excited to welcome Rococo Rose and it’s 4 new friends to the range.

If you missed the post for the Clear Case Inserts, you can find it by clicking here.  The full range of Clear Case Inserts is available by clicking here.

With a fresh pack of Rococo Rose in my hot little hands, it was the perfect choice for a custom 50th birthday card I was asked to make.  The brief was ‘pink’.  Rococo Rose is such an elegant pink!

I revisited a favourite card style of mine – making an updated version of a Pop Up Slider Card I shared in 2016 using the Jar of Love stamp set & dies.  Sadly, this duo retires very soon.  I’ve kept the jar, but added in some new products from my 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue preorder.  I love this time of the year where I can mix the old & the new to create fun projects!

See the original card by clicking here.

Rococo Rose Pop Up Slider Card | kelly kent

I’ve used white heat embossing to stamp the mason jar on Rococo Rose cardstock and then cut it using the Everyday Jar dies.  Although retiring, I love mason jars as a card theme and plan to keep these to continue creating.  There’s no better vase on a card than a gorgeous jar!

Rococo Rose Pop Up Slider Card | kelly kent

The jar is filled with pretty magnolias – stamped on Shimmery White cardstock in Basic Gray and lightly washed over with Rococo Rose ink.  The magnolias are from a new stamp set called Good Morning Magnolia and has coordinating dies to cut those pretty flowers.

Rococo Rose Pop Up Slider Card | kelly kent

The leaves are from the Wonderful Floral die set (Occasions 2019) in Champagne Foil.  These dies are on Last Chance Retirement List and available until 3rd June 2019 – unless sold out earlier.

A lashing of Whisper White Bakers Twine finishes off my jar of flowers – which I have mounted on a layer of Whisper White embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  Thankfully, the Subtle folder is on the carryover list and we’ll be enjoying it for at least another year.

Rococo Rose Pop Up Slider Card | kelly kent

This style of pop up card is one of my favourite fancy folds – simple to make but amazing to receive.  You can find the measurements here.

I’ve decorated the middle and the slider part of the card.  The slider has more magnolias (stamped in Rococo Rose) and the ‘enjoy your special day’ sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set.

Rococo Rose Pop Up Slider Card | kelly kent

I’ve added ’50’ in Champagne Foil to the middle of the card (revealed when the slider part of the card is pulled).  The Large Numbers retired with the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue (last year) but I’ve been using them ever since.  Retired Stampin’ Up! still holds enormous value.  Retired simply means you can no longer buy it – it doesn’t mean you can’t love & use it for eternity!  Some items are meant to be craft room staples.  This catalogue transition sees the Large Letters retiring.  See my post about that by clicking here.

This catalogue has a revamp of the DSP patterns available – including new designs for the In Color & Colour Collection DSP stacks.  They are sooooo beautiful!  Mosaic, words, gingham & diamonds.  That’s right…. gingham in every colour!

Want to own ALL the DSP???  Check back tomorrow for details of my DSP Share available for pre-order for Australian customers (demonstrators also welcome!).  DSP shares are a great way to own every DSP pattern at a fraction of the cost.

I think my second most favourite new In Color is Pretty Peacock.  I’ll have to get inky with that next!

Thanks for visiting mypapercraftjourney.com!

CLEAR CASE INSERTS – 2019 In Colors

Can you believe that in just over a week we’ll be enjoying yet another sensational new catalogue release!  On 4th June, it’s go-go-go time for the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.  Hopefully you’ve been able to get a hard copy from your beautiful demonstrator and have been planning out that shopping list!

If you don’t have a demonstrator, live in Australia and still need a copy of the catalogue, I’d love to send you one.  Just send me a message on FB or contact me by email.

One of the first purchases I make each year is the new In Colors.  For the 2019-2021 period, I’m excited to have 5 new gorgeous colours join us!

Introducing the new In Colors…

Can you spot an immediate favourite?  One of these colours has been on my colour wishlist forever – can you guess which one???

New colours mean new storage – click on the link below to download Clear Case Inserts for the 2019-21 range.

If you need Clear Case Inserts that I’ve released previously, please visit the main page (click here) where you’ll find them all ready to download.

Note: Clear Case Inserts need to be printed with settings for ‘actual size’.  I am based in Australia and therefore, the case inserts are made for A4 paper sizing.  If you ‘shrink to fit’, you’ll find the proportions don’t match the clear cases.

Thank you for visiting each year to download my clear case inserts.  Your traffic helps sustain my blog and allows me to continue to offer them free of charge.  Share the word with other Stampin’ Up! storage addicts!

The New Stamps in Town

11.01.18_BANNER_CLING_ENGJP

The Occasions Catalogue sees the launch of a new type of stamp.  It’s called ‘cling’ and looks exactly the same as the red rubber type that we currently know as ‘clear’.  There’s a big difference to the stickers for the stamps – a super cling backing that makes these stamps stick!!!  No more leaving the stickers off so they hold to the acrylic blocks better – this is the ultimate in stamp staying power!

Check out this video from Stampin’ Up! with tips & tricks for using cling stamps.

Labelling cling stamps is a slightly different process than you may be used to. It is important to follow the steps below to assemble cling stamps.

  • Remove the paper backing from the label.
  • Remove your selected stamp from the rubber sheet and remove the paper backing from the stamp.
  • Line up the foam side of the stamp with the image label, then press it evenly to adhere it to the label. Make sure it is correctly positioned before you adhere it to the stamp.
  • Remove the stamp and its newly-affixed image label from the label sheet.
  • Place the stamp on an acrylic block to begin stamping.

Note: Once you place the label on the stamp, it is adhered permanently.Attempting to remove or adjust the label will damage the foam of the stamp.

To see the mounting advice as a flyer, click here to download.

To remove the stamp from the block, grasp securely near the image label and remove slowly. (Cling stamps stick so well that if they are not carefully removed from the block, the foam can tear.) To clean the labels, simply rinse under running water. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners.

Over 2019, clear stamp sets will be phased out and replaced with cling for any sets that carryover into the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.

All stamp sets in the 2019 Occasions catalogue will be offered as a cling stamp set or a photopolymer stamp set – depending on the format they are made in.

Stamp sets will no longer be offered in wood once the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue retires.

I’m so excited for this change.  It’s amazing to be able to have the label on the stamp and have it stick to the block!

To see cling stamps in action, contact me to book a workshop for you & your friends.  I’m available in January & February.

As always, Stampin’ Up! have designed a sensational range of new products.  It was so hard to choose just 3, but here are my top 3 choices for your first order..

  1. Rectangle Stitched Framelits – I cannot love these enough.  They come in 13 different sizes, perfect for lots of different uses and layering options.  Click here to order.
  2. Piece of Cake bundle – with stamp set and Cake Builder Punch.  It was love at first sight for this bundle when I saw Lou Kitzelman showcase it at OnStage in November.  Visit her blog here for lots more samplesClick here to order.
  3. Needlepoint Nook – one of my favourite DSP options from this catalogue.  Another great presentation at OnStage by Liz Gross (see her blog here).  Did you know the DSP was created in stages.  First the concept art team designed the embroidery patterns, then they had them embroidered by a needlework expert, then they photographed them to be the amazing images we see on each sheet of DSP!  Click here to order.

Here’s a quick card I made to show you my favourites in action!
