For the Love of Sharing | Bunnings Bricks

Did you know that Bunnings – Australia’s favourite hardware store – sells block building kits to create some iconic designs. You can build your own playground, cafe, forklift, truck, warehouse and mini trolley!

We visited the Bunnings warehouse & cafe yesterday, played on the playground and pushed around a mini trolley. Check out my cute coffee cup – this design would make a fantastic DSP!!!

The block sets make great gifts for little tradies who aren’t big enough to build with real bricks yet. A great gift needs a fun card to go with it – so this is what I created using a range of my supplies including a few retired favourites.

The bricks are from a set I have kept for many years and used over & over – the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set. The “3” is from the Large Numbers Dies (always a keeper) and the circle is the Starburst Punch.

In the catalogue, you’ll find the happy birthday in the “A Grand Kid” stamp set, the bricks using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and the star from the Stitched Stars Dies. The colours for the card are classic Bunnings – Real Red and Garden Green with some Crumb Cake & Basic White in the mix.

I love the range of Bunnings blocks but I’m sure the regulars are all asking the same question as me – where’s the sausage sizzle???
