Quiet Meadow

I’m sure you’re all in the same crafting boat as me – you’ve flicked past a bundle lots of time in the catalogue thinking it wasn’t for you, and then someone shares a project online and suddenly it’s in your cart! The same thing happens for me when I craft with friends or attend classes. Quiet Meadow wasn’t on my radar until a friend let me play with it and then I couldn’t resist!

The stamp set and dies are great for a variety of occasions including love, sympathy, thinking of you and friendship. If you add in a sentiment from another stamp set, you can use the dies for almost every occasion you’d need to craft with. Nature elements are so versatile.

The first card I’m sharing today is a sympathy card. Often hard cards to make, but always so appreciated to receive.

I used a combination of the stamps in the set to create a layered look in a variety of neutral colours – Sahara Sand, Vanilla, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Night of Navy.

I used the label from the Succulents Dies – it was the perfect size for this project. The DSP is from the In Good Taste pack – which carried over from the last annual catalogue to this one. I’ve ripped the edge for a textured finish and added more embellishment with Linen Thread and Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim.

The second card was for friends of mine to celebrate their wedding anniversary. I’ve used a Meadow Die Cut in Basic White on three rectangle panels – So Succulent, Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral (wedding colours). I’ve embossed them with the new Bark 3D embossing folder to add nature themed texture.

The sentiment is from the Many Messages stamp set and cut using the Messages Die. These are carryover products from the Jan-June 2021 Mini into the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. There’s also another coordinating stamp set to go with this one cut – many pieces die – Many Happenings – with more great sentiments. Between these two stamps, you’ve pretty much got all your sentiments covered.

The die cut is stuck to the card using clear wax and a hydrangea flower from the Fiona Ariva range. These wax seals are great for envelope sealing but amazing on the front of cards too.

What product has someone enabled you to buy recently? There’s nothing like seeing or using a product to make it a must have! I always wait to put my order in until after a team meeting because I know there’ll always be something in the swaps I receive or the make & take that adds to my shopping list.

If you live in Australia, you can find all your Stampin’ Up! supplies in the online store. Happy shopping!
