Social Stamping | Subway Style

It’s Social Stamping again tomorrow morning at the Taste of Dalyellup cafe. I hope you can join me from 9.30am – 11am. We’ll be making two cards and this is a sneak peek of one of the options.

I’ve used my top pick from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue – the Biggest Wish stamp set. It has two styles – a large block font and a script font of 5 words. And if I had to choose 5 words only for a sentiment only stamp set, these are the ones I would choose. I’ll be using this stamp set all year long!!!

This card was designed with a teen boy in mind, so I’ve kept the colours fun but neutral and opted for stitched stars as the embellishment. The card base is Pear Pizzaz with Basic Grey & Smoky Slate for the greys and Misty Moonlight, Crushed Curry, Balmy Blue and more Pear Pizzazz for the stars.

The block style of the text when stamped in the background reminds me of a subway style of design. Perfect for keeping the design geometric and bold. The Brick & Mortar embossing complements the look I wanted for the card so well.

The stamp set for the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment is from the Brushed Blooms stamp set. It was a great option for a smaller version of the birthday greeting to finish the card.

I made two options as samples for tomorrow. I always encourage the stampers to use the pieces and create their own variation of unique design by changing the style or layout of the card.

Do you prefer the angles of the first or the straight lines of the second???

I’d love to stamp with you tomorrow. If you’re definitely able to make, please RSVP so I can hold a kit for you.

See you soon!
