Stamp Review Crew | Love of Leaves

Hello! Welcome to November and the first Stamp Review Crew hop for this month. I’m hopping with my lovely stamping friends from around the world. To see the full list of stampers who are participating today, visit the Stamp Review Crew main blog.

Today we’re showcasing the Love of Leaves stamp set and dies from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue.

If I’m honest, it was the dies that pulled me in for this bundle. They are beautifully designed with stitching on the outside which shows when you use the leaves for the negative space. And pretty stitching for the middle of the leaves, which add such a lovely level of detail.

I’ve created two cards to share with you today. The first card features the leaves stamped, die cut and layered on the card.

Remember I said how much I loved the dies? Look at the amazing detail of the die along the side of the card. Just magical!

I’ve used Mint Macaron, Just Jade and Crumb Cake for the leaves and layered them on a circle of Just Jade DSP (from the 2020-2022 In Color DSP).

The stamp set has some lovely sentiments – including one of my favourites – “hello”.

The second card wasn’t in my original plans to create but when I saw that the littlest of the leaves looked so much like a heart, this idea was born.

Rather than using the dies, I’ve hand cut the leaf into a heart shape and then added the stitched detail to the middle.

The colours are Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape. I’ve followed rough rainbow order for their layout.

The font of this sentiment really tickles my fancy. I love the happy mix of upper and lower case letters.

Have a wonderful week,

  1. Hi Kelly

How are you? Greetings from Chicago.

I came across your blog on Pinterest. I’ve just started making greeting cards and am a beginner. I’m a little overwhelmed on where to start. I have stamps, embossing powder and a lot of paper. Do you have basic templates or how does this work?

    Thanks Marcella

  2. Kelly – I’m never disappointed when I see your projects. Both are wonderful, but my favorite is the second one. I love how you used the leaves as militia-colored hearts!
