Hello! If you get my blog by email you will have seen that we had a little family trip down south and the posts from the last couple of weeks were all scheduled to go live while I was ‘off the grid”. I’m back now and I think I’ve almost caught up on the washing – though isn’t that a never ending task!
Today’s blog post is for Just Add Ink – challenge number 526! It’s a gorgeous photo inspiration which I know will bring out amazing creations from both the design team and the crafters who share their projects in our gallery each week. You’ll find the linky tool on the Just Add Ink blog – click here to visit. We love seeing what you’ve been inspired to make!
I must admit, this photo threw me for a while, but then I was on my way once an idea clicked. I’ve really been enjoying crafting with blues lately. The blue tones and lines on the mushroom helped me with the layout for this card.
The sentiment and stamps for this card are from the Press On stamp set. Have you seen it in the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue? It’s hiding at the back and is the epitome of a ‘hidden gem’. I love the quirky greetings and the beautiful artwork of the takeaway coffee cups.
I’ve used the paper piecing technique to make the coffee cups into pretty patterned ones. I don’t often get takeaway hot drinks (since I don’t drink coffee) but I always love it when I see a cafe with printed cups. They are almost too pretty to use!!! These patterns are from the Boho Indigo DSP which you can find in the Product Medley on page 9 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.
What’s your favourite crafty colour at the moment? I’ve been in this blue phase for a while! I can see some red and green on the horizon with Christmas heading our way. The Mini Papercrafts have started the countdown to Christmas and are starting to discuss what is going on their Christmas lists. With a new catalogue being released to demonstrators in December, I think mine will be 99% new stamps!
