Hey there – happy Wednesday!!! It’s school holidays here and I’m taking some time to refocus and reconnect. It’s a self imposed social media blackout!!! Using the marvels of scheduling, I’ve written this week’s posts in advance and timed them to share across the week.
Today’s card is all about the dies. Although I will most often buy a stamp set & tool bundle, there are times when the dies are so wonderful on their own that I slip them into an order to be enjoyed as a single item. The Sunflowers Dies are a great example of a die set that you can use with or without the coordinating stamps. When budget and space are factors in what makes it into your shopping cart, one sometimes needs to be a savvy shopper!
This centrepiece for this card was made using the Sunflower Dies – layers of those pretty die cuts in Bumbleebee, Cinnamon Cider and Vellum.
The background is a wood texture from the In Good Taste DSP and the card case is Sahara Sand.
I’ve added in one of my favourite birthday sentiments from the Fancy Phrases stamp set in gold embossing. Many of us own lots of stamps – mixing and matching is the perfect way to make the purchase of just the dies work out.
Check back for another post later this week. You may also like to check my socials (Instagram, Facebook & Pinterest) for the archives of projects I’ve made in the past.
