Hello! Thanks for joining us for a Paper Adventures Team Hop. The theme today is banners and we welcome my gorgeous friend, and fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Melissa Gifford as our guest designer. I can’t wait for you to hop around and see what banner styles everyone has used!
I made this card a little while ago for a gorgeous new baby. Don’t you just love the name???
It was made to coordinate with the gift – a personalised towel embroidered by local company Dalyellup Designs.
Sticking to my mantra this year to let my creativity not be limited by current vs retired, this card features a mix of things you can find in the current Stampin’ Up! catalogues and products from the archives.
The banner die and awesome lettering are both from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. I’m sure you’d believe me when I share that I bought the Tasteful Labels Dies just for that stitched banner – it was an instant crush! The letters with the Foam Adhesive Sheets for extra pop are from the Playful Alphabet Dies – one of the must haves from the catalogue. The embossing folder is a new pattern from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue – Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders (skinny duo combo packs).
On the retired side we have a super cute giraffe from the Zoo Babies stamp set, darling baby sentiment from the Fable Friends stamp set, Whisper White Baker’s Twine and Dressed to Impress DSP. No point in keeping favourites if you’re not going to use them -right!?!
I really loved this design so I made a “BABY” version using yellow tones.
The congrats sentiment is from the Many Mates stamp set.
If you don’t already have the Playful Alphabet Dies, Foam Adhesive Sheets and Tasteful Labels Dies, you can purchase them in my online store – click here to visit.
For more great projects and I’m sure more temptation for the wishlist, please keep hopping and visit Melissa Gifford, our guest designer.

Great card
I just LOVE a matching card & present combo – and both handmade for the win! Beautiful colour combo and the personalisation with the name is always perfect for a baby card. Those little banners are so gorgeous, I think you’ve just enabled my purchase of that set just for those. 🙂 Siobhan.
Sweet, Kelly. Such beautiful baby themed images. And the embroidery just sets it off so beautifully.
Such gorgeous cards, Kelly! I didn’t even notice the stitched banners in the tasteful labels set, now I need them too!
Oh no, now I need the banners too and of course the letters are on my list too…both are super sweet cards and the perfect celebration of a new arrival.
such a thoughtful and adorable gift for baby and mum!
