Hello! Thanks for joining us for another ESAD Blog Hop.
The theme today is 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and it’s going to be a wonderful journey through some new catalogue favourites. Demonstrators had a period of time to pre-order from a selected list of new catalogue items during May. From 3rd June, we’ve been able to order from the entire catalogue, so I’m excited to see what people are making with the products they were desperate to get their hands on.
I had a few bundles and accessories which I was super excited to get hold of (see here for my top picks from the catalogue), but there’s always a whole category for me that’s a must have – and that’s the DSP.
Once again the new patterns haven’t disappointed and I’m loving the range of florals, patterns & textiles that we can play with for the next 11 months. It’s always hard to choose an absolute favourite, but two of the patterns that have most tickled my fancy are the animal designs – Whale of a Time and Playful Pets. I shared the cute whale and turtle designs on Friday (see here if you missed it).
Today I’m sharing a One Sheet Wonder card set made using Playful Pets DSP. I wanted a dog theme so the 6″x6″ page is the dog acessories page (bone, paw print, bowl & collar). I’ve used more of the DSP as embellishments (there’s two pages filled with different types of dogs) – fussy cutting out the cute canines to be the highlight of the cards.
Using the images from DSP as features on cards saves me so much time because the colouring is already perfect! I just need to spend a little time fussy cutting (which I don’t mind) and it’s all ready to put together.
The cardstock base is Gray Granite (despite looking very much like Crumb Cake in these photos) with Early Espresso mats and Real Red accents.
Here’s a look at each card…
I used sentiment stamps from Peaceful Moments (happy birthday), Massive Thanks (thank you) & Forever Fern (hello), leaving the fourth card blank for an all occasion option.
Here’s the template for the One Sheet Wonder (you can see the original post with instructions by clicking here).
Half of the designs in the Playful Pets pack are cat themed. Should I make another one sheet wonder for all the cat lovers???
The reverse side of this pack has awesome black, white & red patterns. It’s a fabulous mix and ready to create amazing projects!
For more temptation and new catalogue inspiration, keep hopping along. I’m last on the list, but be sure to click through to my gorgeous friend Nicole Wilson if you didn’t start at the beginning. Have a marvellous week!!!
