Stamp Review Crew | Bonanza Buddies

It’s the third Monday of the month, and I’m happy to be hopping with my blogging friends from around the world as part of the Stamp Review Crew.

The featured stamp set today is Bonanza Buddies – from the Stampin’ Up! Jan-June Mini Catalogue, together with the Bonanza Dies.  See the list of participating crew members on the main Stamp Review Crew post here.

This set was love at first catalogue sighting for me.  I’m excited to see all the creative ways the crew are using it.

I had a few ideas for this hop, but when I saw Julie Davison post the measurements and tutorial for a Double Wonder card set, I knew this suite would be perfect for that project.  You can see Julie’s post by clicking here.

The Double Wonder tutorial gives you 10 cards (and one bonus card, so 11 really) from 1 sheet of 12″x12″ DSP.  Julie suggests using two 6″ x 12″ sheets and then mixing & matching the patterns.

I used these four patterns from the Birthday Bonanza DSP

The best part about using this DSP, stamp set and dies for a set of cards was the fun colours I got work with and the super cute animal theme.  The coordinating colours I’ve used are Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay in cardstock, ink & Stampin’ Blends.

Between all the different designs, I used almost all of the stamps from the Birthday Bonanza set including the sentiments.  I also used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and Classic Label Punch.

Here are some more photos of the cards –

This style of cards would work for almost every DSP.  You could keep it simple with just cardstock, sentiments & DSP, or you could step it up like I have to incorporate a whole suite.  Many thanks to Julie for sharing this project.

Next up is my lovely friend Charlet Mallett to see the magic she’s created with this set.

Thanks for hopping with us.
