Hey there! Welcome to a Stamp Review Crew hop with my international stamping friends. We all create using the same stamp set – giving you a whole hop of ideas!!!
Today’s chosen set is Daisy Delight from the Annual Catalogue. This set first appeared in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue and holds a special place in my heart as I was selected to present this stamp set and matching punch at OnStage in April 2017. You can see my projects by clicking here.
For my project I wanted to try a little grungy/vintage look with the daisy. My previous projects have been bright & sunny, I had a different look in mind for this card.
With Sahara Sand as my chosen colour palette, I stamped and cut two daisies on Whisper White, and cut two more just from Sahara Sand cardstock. I scrunched the flowers to give them a ruffled look before adhering them all together.
I then added three layers of cardstock – Sahara Sand DSP from the Color Collection DSP,, vellum and Sahara Sand cardstock. I’ve added textured elements to each of the layers – distressed & ripped edges on the striped DSP, vellum and cardstock but extra distressing to the Sahara Sand cardstock. To the top layer I repetitively stamped the petals from the Daisy Delight stamp set and then scrunched and smoothed before adhering to the vellum layer.
The base is also Sahara Sand with a Stitched Rectangle as the base layer (this was my only concesion to my usual neat style – I love the contrast!).
This theme was fun, so I carried it through to the middle of the card adding more of the gorgeous striped DSP, a Stitched Rectangle for the sentiment panel and another distressed daisy. Little Miss Papercraft looked at me in horror when I started scrunching my freshly stamped daisy!!! You have to be gentle so you don’t rip off the petals, but it adds some great texture.
I’ve purposely left this card without a sentiment. I like the boldness of the daisy as the centrepiece and didn’t want to add anything else!
Next up on the hop is my gorgeous friend in Tasmania is Bronwyn Eastley.
Thanks for hopping with us, it’s always a pleasure to be part of these hops!

Fun card,Kelly! I love the scrunched up daisy and the grunge look, it’s wonderful! The inside is about as pretty as the outside too!
Unexpected and fun! Loving the grunge look!
Love your card and always look forward to blog hop. Disappointed that there isn’t a list and that you don’t have a previous button on yours to work my way backwards because of a link that won’t load.
So glad you enjoy the hop Phyllis! It sometimes takes us a few minutes after the hop goes live to straighten out the broken links but it’s usually a perfect circle after that. Today’s issues have been fixed – hopefully you can get around. Kelly x
Kelly I love everything about your creation! Love the grunge look…suits Saraha Sand really well. I would love to CASE this.
Texture, layers, and pattern papers, oh my! I would say venturing out of your usual style turned out quite well!
This card is just fab, Kelly! I love all the layers and the distressed look. (Great minds, too – my other card, which I didn’t post because I used the wrong set, had a distressed, vintage look.)
I love a bit of grunge! Fab layers and textures. x
You do ‘vintage’ really well. LOVE this card, Kelly, especially all the twine in that gorgeous bow.
