Hello! We are so close to the new Annual Catalogue – the excitement is building! I’ve joined in with my South Pacific ESAD stamping friends to share a huge blog hop of sneak peek projects and fun ideas for the upcoming catalogue. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and keep click on next until you get back to where you started. If you’re already sipping & hopping, then you’ve come from the delightful project of my talented friend Rochelle Blok. Click on the next button below to visit another fabulous friend – Jo Stubbings.
When thinking about what I was going to make for this hop, I realised the most obvious thing would be the share the new In Colors with you. I’ve shared a couple of sneak peeks of my favourites over the last week (Rococo Rose & Pretty Peacock) – but there’s 5 altogether!
Using the Colour Collection DSP, a new stamp set called Butterfly Wishes and the Stitched Nested Labels, I created an In Color gift set…
The Colour Collections are available in all 50 Stampin’ Up! colours – with the current patterns of stripes & spots retiring and new patterns being launched of script, mosaic, gingham & diamonds. You can purchase in the 4 colour families (Brights, Subtles, Neutrals & Regals) and 2 In Color collections (2019-2021 & 2018-2020).
Here’s the colours of the 2019-2021 range…
ROCOCO ROSE
TERRACOTTA TILE
PRETTY PEACOCK
SEASIDE SPRAY
PURPLE POSY
** Purple Posy ink is currently available while Stampin’ Up! fix a quality issue. I’ve used Highland Heather ink. It’s a darker shade – but the tone is great and it’s a great substitute while we wait for the high quality SU! product we’re used to.
Do you have a favourite?? I actually think I’m going to love them all! Even Terracotta Tile is growing on me!
Butterflies are definitely a crafting staple for stamps and it was lovely to see another sweet butterfly set in the catalogue. Butterfly wishes has stamps that coordinates with the Butterfly Duet punch, new butterfly shapes and gorgeous sentiments.
The butterfly I’ve used on this card is the DisINKtive style of stamping – very detailed! It doesn’t like super inky pads, so to get a beautifully crisp image, make sure to scrape back the ink on your ink pad (an old credit card works well as a scraping tool) and use the less inky section you’ve created to add ink to your stamp.
To add some extra texture to my butterflies, I’ve stamped once on the label and again on a piece of scrap – cutting front wing of the second butterfly and then adhering it for a fluttering effect.
Any stamp set that has great images AND a birthday sentiment is top of my wishlist. Don’t you just love the ‘Birthday wishes’ of this set??? I’ve heat embossed in white (my favourite way to add a sentiment) and cut using the Darling Label Punch (a returning item from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue).
You know I’m a fan of anything stitched, so it’s no surprise the Stitched Nested Labels have been on high rotation here at Papercraft HQ. The stitching is a dotted line (rather than the dashed line we’ve seen in the other stitched sets) and it’s just delightful!!! They are bundled with the Free As A Bird stamp set – and I know you’ll see lots of amazing projects on the hop using these products.

Love your design and how you have showcased the In-colours. That script DSP is beautiful.x
I love a set of cards like this!! Such a pretty design, I love the way yo’ve turned a strip of the paper so you can see the other pattern as well. As always you’ve inked and cut the stamps perfectly so those butterflies really pop off the page, they look so lively. Divine! -Siobhan.
Snap on that butterfly! I love this design – such a great way to showcase the new colours. I guess I need that DSP now too!
