It was a very happy wedding anniversary to this gorgeous couple today…
It was also Naked Gardening Day – but no photos of that to share!!!
I had the pleasure of being part of the celebrations on the day these two said “I do” on the south coast of WA 6 years ago. It was filled with gumboots, large trees, a vintage Combi van and so much love.
With both the bride and the groom have connections to the picturesque forest of the south coast so the wedding theme, including stationary was nature & woodsy. Over the years their anniversary cards have been a mix of the wedding colour palette of Peach Parfait, Wild Wasabi & Calypso Coral. After a colour refresh and a craft room clean out, I had to refresh the colours and this year it’s Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral. Leaf from the Rooted in Nature stamp set.
I’ve added in a Wood Textures background – one of the many DSP patterns on the retirement list. I’m going to miss this classic mix of wood tones that are perfect for so many cards!
The sentiment is from a retired stamp set that gets a good workout in my craft room – Milestone Moments. I’ve embossed on vellum in black embossing powder.
Of course, the card features a Stitched Shape panel. I may have to challenge myself to create a card without using stitching! But then again, every card deserves a stitched finish! Thankfully all my favourite stitched die options will be available in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.
Happy anniversary friends – may your day be as exciting and full of laughter as those celebrating World Naked Gardening Day!
PS, if you live in Australia and find the name of the Rooted in Nature stamp set hilarious given our slang, then surely Rooted in Nature on World Gardening Day is next level!!!

Love your card! Yes, wasn’t Color Refresh upsetting and exciting, both at the same time? It was for me! I’m nosy, you could say, “most people do!” I wanted to know the slang! I’ll be traveling abroad in September and wanted an idea of What and What-not to say! I also love a good chuckle! TFS!
