We’ve been busy this holidays – play dates, gymnastics, Easter, swimming pool, roller skating, a sneaky trip up to Perth, science experiments, scooter riding, picnics – the list is endless! It’s a full time job keeping kids occupied (and fed!) during the holidays. But I love the time we get to spend together!
In the midst of all the busy, the girls and I took a moment during the week to spend some quiet time at home and get crafty. They love doing ‘adult’ projects (no kids craft for them). They search through Pinterest and present me with the projects they want to make. This time the search was for fancy folds and the request was for a Jan B W card (see Jan’s YouTube tutorial here).
The picked their own colours, DSP and design, I was merely there to cut things to size and help them along with the instructions.
I love listening to them craft – using the correct colour names and talking about the different tools. It’s so cute!!!
Here’s Miss Papercraft using the Big Shot without any help!
The other Miss Papercraft needs some help with glue (or we end up with a little too much) but she can cut, fold and stick like a champion!
Here’s their finished W cards – made using butterflies and love hearts! I love the eclectic style kids have when they get crafty. Sometimes I have to stop myself from putting my spin on things!!!

You’ll see that they both used retired DSP to make their cards. Although they love Stampin’ Up! they prefer to choose their favourite patterns and colours rather than what’s current. Lucky for them I have a large supply of retired DSP and I’m happy to share! Whenever DSP comes up on the Clearance Rack at bargain prices, I stock up on more for the next time we make cards together.
The Clearance Rack was updated this week and there’s some great DSP choices from the Holiday Catalogue at the amazing price of $7.70. That is not a misprint! Less than $8 for 12 sheets of high quality Stampin’ Up! patterned paper! These are all available while stocks last. Ordering via my online store is the easiest way. See the DSP and other items available on the Clearance Rack – click here.
The kids are back to school next week, so I’ll be resuming classes for Term 2. I’d love to have you join me. 3 quality projects suitable for all crafting levels made using Stampin’ Up! products. Your class is free if you place a $50 order

It makes it all the more special when you do find the time!
What fabulous cards from your miss papercrafts! I love them. I must do the same with my kids too.
We should get them all together! Crafting chaos!!
Wow, loved the projects your girls made!!! They are SU Superstars already!!!
What great memories you are creating for them! Blessings to you and your family!! ~Denise Adair ND SU demo
Thanks Denise – I adore these times with the girls and feel very lucky they take an interest in what I do. Kelly x
Well done, girls!! How blessed the girls are to have you as a Mum, Kelly. Enjoy these times as they are special. I craft with my granddaughters and sometimes grandsons, and I’m with you about stepping back and letting them do their thing. I struggle but after all it’s their card, not mine! Ruth S.
Thanks Ruth – such special times, aren’t we lucky! Kelly x
How wonderful to have crafting pals living right with you! They are adorable and do a wonderful job. Hope they send off their “beauties” to grandparents, friends and relatives😊
Thanks Judi – it’s very lovely to have the girls taking an interest in what I do! One card has been gifted and I have a feeling one card is being saved for a special Mumma who has a birthday next month! Kelly x
