Welcome to another Friday night and another Paper Adventures team hop. You’re going to love this one – the theme is ‘Inspired by Fashion’ and we have the gorgeous Emma Goddard joining us. There were quite a few happy dances done by the team when Emma said yes!
I can’t wait for you to see which direction everyone went in their fashion inspiration. For me, fashion, home decor and marketing trends are a great source of inspiration. Largely because Stampin’ Up! are always so great at being right on trend with their colours, stamps and accessories.
My card today is not the card I originally had in mind when I suggested this topic for our team hop. I’m still hoping to make that card – because in my head, it’s awesome!
Instead, I’m sharing a card that I just had to make after seeing this cute design in the Big W catalogue. For my international friends, Big W is like Target or ASDA.
Seen those flowers before somewhere?
They reminded me of the stamps in the Perennial Birthday stamp set!!!
This is the card I made using a panel inspired by the sleeping bag, offset with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit frame.
I love the blue and pink together. I’ve used Blueberry Bushel, Night of Navy, Powder Pink and Blushing Bride.
All the stitched shapes help to elevate what would be a simple card into the next level. I simply can’t craft without them now!!!
This is another layout that I’m storing away for future use. It’s simple yet engaging and could be used with a stamped piece as I have here, or with a piece of DSP for a very quick & easy card!
Next up on our team hop is Anne Barker who shares her creations on Facebook. I can’t wait for you to see her stylish project!!!
Thanks for hopping with us!

This is gorgeous! What a brilliant layout, I’ll store that one away too. Spot on that’s the flowers from Pwrrenial Birthday. I’m always seeing those everywhere. SU is right in trend, as always!
Thanks for coming up with such a cool theme for our hop. Can’t wait to see everyone’s projects.
I love this card! It sings to the matchy-matchy part of me 😀 you’ve replicated the fabric design beautifully. And that layout is going in my memory bank too x
I feel the same way about the framelits-they work with everything! Lovely recreation of the fabric pattern.
I love this card Kelly….very clever way to create a gorgeous background.
Thank you so much for the invite to join you all! Such a fun hop and loved the theme. Your card is gorgeous! I love the colours such a great take on this fabric – Hugs Emma xo
I LOVE this card – wonderful interpretation of the fabric! And the stitched rectangles – perfection! Tell me – did you use any dimensionals on any of the layers?
