I’m on a roll with colour challenges this month!
Today’s blog post is a fabulous trio, chosen by Lou, for Just Add Ink #449.
The creative starting point for my card came via Chloe Evans of Chlo’s Craft Closet. Chloe is Just Add Ink alumni, having previously been on the design team, so it was fun to have her provide the inspiration for my card.
Chloe shared a couple of cards on the weekend using strips of cardstock to create a base layer, and then using the Well Said bundle to add sentiments.
These fun & bright colours look great as a stripy background.
The cupcake is fussy cut from the How Sweet It Is DSP. There’s matching framelits for this DSP too if you love the sweet theme and have no patience for cutting the cute images out. I love how many of the DSP patterns now come with coordinating framelits. The final touch was some glitter dots as sprinkles.
This project is made much easier with multipurpose adhesive sheet. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to size (mine is 3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″), add MPAS and then lay your strips across the adhesive. Trim the edges and you have an awesome background for your card. Experiment by using different WW bases, different size strips and different colours.
Tip: MPAS is also amazing when you’re cutting out the words from Well Written. No messy glue and a perfect finish!

wow that one really pops love it.
I just got some of the MPAS and now I’m wondering why I didn’t get them sooner! They rock, as does your fun, colourful card. The cupcake looks great on top of your awesome background.
