Today is the end of another wonderful Sunday in January! In Australia, January is such a lovely time – the days are long & warm, it’s school holidays so it’s lazy starts and fun days and no school lunches to pack!!!
How was your weekend?
The other great thing about Sundays is it finishes with a CASEing the Catty blog hop. Today the Crew are sharing projects inspired by pages 4-9 of the Occasion Catalogue – the All My Love suite and following pages.
So much love in this section of the catalogue – but as you’ll see from the Crew’s projects, they are great inspiration for all occasions.
I was inspired by the ‘You are Loved’ card on page 4 of the catalogue…
I wanted to recreate the look of having a die cut on the top layer and colour peeking out from the bottom layer.
The new Butterfly Beauty Framelits seemed like the perfect choice for this technique.
This style of card is better for an avid crafter who has a few supplies. I cut the butterfly segment from a piece of Whisper White cardstock (4″ x 5-3/4″) and layered a piece of the beautiful All My Love DSP behind it. I then added Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheet to another piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut the butterflies again. If you like using small dots of Tombow glue, you could use the die cut from the first piece. The butterfly die segment sits back inside the negative piece.
To add some detail to the card, I cut the bottom right butterfly again from the same sheet of DSP, and used the top right butterfly from my first white die cut and layered these on top of the big butterfly in the middle.
And since I had a leftover DSP butterfly, I carried the theme through to the middle of the card.
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays – this is a fabulous new set filled with awesome birthday sentiments. If you send lots of birthdays cards (like me), you’ll want to make sure to order this to coordinate with all your favourite themed sets.
If the All My Love section of the catalogue sparks your creativity this week, we’d love for you to upload your CASEd creation to our Facebook group.

Have a fabulous week!

I love the dsp under the framelits!! What a great idea.
That is an amazing card Kelly . Love it.
So pretty I could squeal!!!
Beautiful card Kelly. Love the DSP under the die cuts
You certainly took that idea to the next level. Beautiful card Kelly, I love that it has so few colours to show off the gorgeous detail. Great choice of DSP to go with it- even if you don’t love Flirty Flamingo it seems to work well for you!
I think you were brave to “cover up” such beautiful DSP but the effect is so stunning to have it peeking through like that. I absolutely love how much detail there is to this card when you really look at it – especially those layers on the inside. Another stunning creation!
Wow. Wow. Wow. Love the white finish with the soft pinks underneath. Amazing card. Brilliant way to show off these dies and the DSP too.
Gorgeous card Kelly, I love the DSP behind the butterflies. This bundle is still on my wish list, sigh………
Awww Kelly Stop it!! That’s just too sweet. Definitely caseing this! I love this bundle x
Such a pretty card and a creative way to use DSP! And you know I love Flirty Flamingo 🙂
OMG, Kelly, this is gorgeous! I haven’t been tempted by these dies before now, but you’re really testing me!
Everyone is doing great things with this bundle, and you are no different. The funny thing is , NO two are alike! That’s what great about SU! It brings YOUR creativity out. AND No one is wrong! I love this bundle! I haven’t gotten to play with it yet, but, I’ve seen plenty of ideas! TFS!
