My design team posts are going to be light at the moment, but I couldn’t resist the theme for Stamp Review Crew this week.
It’s Dashing Deer – which is filled with reindeer and has a beautiful coordinating die set. I just love reindeer, they are my favourite Christmas motif.
Now of course with Baby Papercraft taking up lots of my time (see here to meet the little man), I’m only getting snippets of time at the craft table.
So I only have one reindeer creation to share with you – and it’s simple. But that’s ok!!! Simple can be lovely too!
To make this card I cut a piece of copy paper just bigger than my Whisper White mat and then cut a circle at the top middle. Remove & discard the circle cut out.
Using the remaining rectangle as a mask, I sponged the circle with Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry & Night of Navy inks. I then stamped the filigree reindeer in Versamark and heat embossed in silver.
The sentiment was stamped with the help of my Stamparatus in Rich Razzleberry.
The Rich Razzleberry card base was embossed using the Tin Tile embossing folder and the reindeer panel mounted on Smoky Slate then adhered to the card base using dimensionals.
Here’s a close up of the reindeer – the detail in this stamp is just beautiful. I haven’t used it in this card, but it has a coordinating die in the set.
That is my first Christmas card done for the season! I’m looking forward to making more in this style.
And to seeing what the rest of the Stamp Review Crew has created. I know there’ll be lots of inspiration in the blogs ahead.
Next up is the wonderful Mickey Roberts
Until next time, happy crafting!

Such a cute idea Kelly and it gets a way from
The traditional red and green that is used so widely through the Christmas period.
The reindeer is pretty adorable too
Just adorable, Kelly. Love the inky background and the silver embossed deer. I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist this hop. Great to see you still have a bit of time to get creative.
Very fun, Kelly! Welcome back!! Congratulations on the little bundle, and I hope the family is settling in well.
Love the sponged background for this card, Kelly! Enjoy your “little man” and hope you’re finding time to get some rest.
Wow! When I first saw your card it didn’t look like silver embossing. I bet that card looks amazing in person because the second card gave us a peek of that modern style. Silver embossing is so hard to photograph well.
Hooray, Kelly! It’s great to have you back! I love the technique you used to create the background on your card. It’s beautiful! Oh my gosh…baby Finley is so precious! Congrats!
Love!
Haha simple is gorgeous! I love it!! I love reindeer too they are my weakness. Welcome back we’ve missed you and the little man is adorable!
