Sneaking in time at the craft table has been a little challenging when trying to fit in with a newborn schedule!
I made it work though so I could play along with the gorgeous colours for Colour INKspiration this week.
With copper shimmer paint already on the table, and a tight time schedule, I chose to build upon the theme I used for Gayle’s bronze elite congratulations card. You can see that card by clicking here.
Here is my challenge card….
I kept the Subtle embossing folder background and leaf edging and added in a Basic Black (sprayed with copper shimmer paint) happy birthday sentiment. The leaves I used as an embellishment were cut using a new punch available in the Holiday Catalogue (Sprig Punch) – you can never have too many options for decorative leaves!
If you have crafty time this weekend, add your own copper, mint, white & black creation to the Colour INKspiration challenge page. Entries close on Monday 8th October.
When I’m time poor, I find the best way to create ‘in bulk’ is to make the same design in a few different colours. This was also a great way to try out more of the shimmer paints.
Highland Heather with Champagne Mist shimmer paint…
Berry Burst with Frost White shimmer paint…
Do you have a favourite? Or a suggestion for another colour combination you’d try?
What are your tips for efficient card making? Leave me a comment to help me get the most out of my short visits to the craft space!
