2018 has been a big year for the Papercraft family.
Mr Papercraft & I made the big decision to add another mini Papercrafter to our family. After 2 very uneventful pregnancies with the Miss Papercrafts, this one was different from the beginning. January (and beyond) was a blur of nausea and tiredness! I’ve never spent so much time on the couch! It meant there was very little time left for stamping!
Baby Kent was still a little bit of a secret at OnStage in April, but just starting to show at some angles.
A true stamping addict, I managed to struggle through and keep up with my usual blog & design team commitments until July when I ended up on bed rest. As I enjoyed the hospitality of three different hospitals and spent weeks away from home & family, my blog went unexpectedly quiet. I missed my family, my craft space and my own bed!!!
After all the pregnancy drama, it made sense that baby Kent #3 was a BOY!
Meet baby Little Mr Papercraft – Finley. Born 4 weeks early, but just perfect!
He’s a delight, everyone is besotted and we are enjoying being a family of 5.
You know they say it takes a community to raise a child? Well, it felt like it took a community to get Finn here! I am so grateful to have an amazing family who kept it all together while I was away and fabulous friends who visited me, brought me food & gifts and checked on me during the ups & downs. I am blessed to have the tribe I do!
I wanted to send some thank you cards to some special people who really made a difference to my happiness. It’s been nice to spend some time at the craft table between feeding the little man (I’m once again back to a larger than usual amount of time on the couch!).
The Sweet Baby bundle has the cutest stamps & dies – perfect for all types of baby cards.
How cute is that bouncing baby boy! And matching accessories (I just love the bear hat!). So easy to colour using Stampin’ Blends.
The Twinkle Twinkle DSP from the Annual Catalogue is designed for all things baby – girls or boys.
Despite the time in hospital, the emotional rollercoaster and the need to drop ‘life’ for a while (including my beloved Stampin’ Up!), we are so happy to have Finley with us.
I have no set plans for blogging in 2018. Most of my focus will be enjoying our new little man, focusing on the Miss Papercrafts and crafting for pleasure when I have time. I’ve taken leave from all my design team commitments for the foreseeable future and will return when I feel it’s the right time. There will be posts, but they’ll be when I have time with projects I’d like to share.
The best way to keep in touch is to ‘follow’ my blog – that way you’ll get email updates when I post something new on my blog.
Just one more photo to finish – Finn and his very proud big sisters!
