OnStage Perth 2018

Wow – what a weekend!!!

The past couple of days have been a wonderful whirlwind of Stampin’ Up! OnStage activities.  It was a big one this year – Stampin’ Up! turn 30!!!  A big happy birthday to the Stampin’ Up! family – I’m so glad to be a part of such a wonderful network and it was a joy celebrating with you.

Perth hosted one of the ‘local’ OnStage events on 6-7th April 2018 which made it easy for lots of our Paper Adventures team to join the fun (most of our team is WA based – but there were also events in Sydney and Auckland for our east coast friends).

For me, the event included an awesome 80s themed leadership dinner on Friday night.  I was just a baby in the 80s and didn’t think nappies would be a good look for fancy dress!  Here I am all glammed up with Melissa Gifford and Nicole Wilson…

Saturday was a whole day of stamping news & stamping fun.  I can’t show you most of what happened – we are bound by a confidentiality agreement until Tuesday but I can share some things!

Our Paper Adventures team rocked our new team shirts in a gorgeous rainbow.  Some of the team had bling envy last event, so I made sure their team gifts included a sparkly lanyard and personalised name tag for the event!

One of the day’s highlights was getting a copy of the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue.  You’re going to love it!!!  It’s available for customers to purchase from in June 2018.  If you don’t think you can wait that long, then it’s a perfect time to join my Paper Adventures team.  Not only will you get to see everything early, but you’ll get a discount on all your new catalogue favourites.

Throughout the event we got lovely gifts including new product, a {…..}, a {……} and a gorgeous bag to stash it all in (I’ll fill in the blanks when I’m allowed!).  There was also 4 projects to make with new catalogue products!!!

It wasn’t all stamping though!  The day consisted of lots of laughter as we met up with old friends, made new friends and chatted with the Stampin’ Up! staff that travelled to Perth to be with us for the event.

This is me with the CASEing the Catty Crew and Stamp Review Crew…

Ok… It’s just me….. The rest of the CTC Crew & SRC Crew were partying it up in Sydney, Auckland & international locations.

I did have some Just Add Ink friends – Chantell Randall, Jackie Aitken and Rachael Lewsley.

And a couple of the Colour INKspiration Crew – Nicole Wilson & Jackie Aitken.

I also caught up with 40 of the attendees after the event for a fabulous dinner at the Wild Fig.  What a great night of fantastic company, yummy food and excellent service!

These were my peeps for the night…

I know you’re going to see some amazing photos featuring new products and samples from Tuesday.  Be sure to check out Perth’s Display Board Stampers who created 15+ samples each for everyone to ooooo and ahhh over during the day.  Two of my team were selected for this honour – Kristel Rimmer (see her blog here) and Joanne Gaff (see her Facebook page here).

This is the best I can share right now….

The other two display stampers were my clever design team friends – Nicole Wilson & Jackie Aitken.  I’m sure all four will share photos of their gorgeous work during the week – make sure to check back in with their social mediato see their amazing projects!!!

Another part of the event is sharing things we have made & brought with us to the event. I got some absolutely gorgeous team gifts, presents from friends and swaps that people generously shared with me (even though I didn’t make swaps to share this year).

I did make some paper gifts to share with my team & stamping besties…

Using the Mini Embroidery Hoops available in the Occasions catalogue and 4 different die sets, I created these fun little unicorn dream catchers.

The next event happens in November and although we don’t get back to back Perth events, there’s always the excitement of a trip east!!!  I’ll share exact locations with you next week.  OnStage is open to any demonstrator to attend – registration will be August 2018 for a November 2018 event.

It’s so easy to get caught up in all the hype of new & exciting – but there’s plenty of favourites still available in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue and 2018 Occasions catalogue.

Don’t forget to stock up on anything you’ll miss.  At this time of year, many products may not be available for the entire catalogue duration if they sell out quickly!

Signing off now to get some sleep after a big weekend!!!!

Thank you to all the people who shared smiles, lavished hugs, introduced themselves and sent me home with gorgeous paper goodness.

PS, and a big thank to everyone who took photos for people at the event, including me – and for friends who have shared their photos with me.  I’m always too busy having fun to take photos, so I appreciate the people who stop to record the moments!!
