Welcome to the final Colour INKspiration Challenge for 2017.
A big thank you to Bronwyn Eastley of Addinktive Designs for all her hard work coordinating the challenges and the design team.
Thanks to my fellow design team members for their inspiration and friendship. Such a lovely group of talented crafters – and I’m always so honored to be in the mix.
Challenge #24 is a fabulous quartet of colours that you can either use for one last Christmas card (non-traditional of course!) or get you started for a birthday or other occasion card. Don’t forget, you can add in any neutrals or metallics to complement your project.
The mix of pink, blue, red & Tranquil Tide (so difficult to colour define) is oh-so-pretty!!!
In what is one endless stream of crazy-busy here at Papercraft HQ, I missed out on getting a card up for the CASEing the Catty challenge that’s running this week. You can visit the CASeing the Catty blog hop starting here.
It’s such a fun theme this week – CASE the page number of your age (or the age you want to be) – and I didn’t want to miss out completely, so I’ve used it as a second dose of inspiration for my Colour INKspiration card.
Here’s my creation….
Inspired by the Colour INKspiration colours and page 34 of the Holiday Catalogue!!!
The ‘hello’ is half embossed with silver embossing powder, which is a fun effect I hadn’t tried before!!
I inked up the bottom half in Versamark then the whole stamp in Cherry Cobbler, added silver embossing powder and brushed off any that caught the Cherry Cobbler half, before zapping with my heat gun.
It’s always good to try new techniques – and the catalogues are full of interesting ideas to get your creative juices flowing!
To see more great ideas, keep hopping and visit my gorgeous friend Lou Kitzelman in sunny Queensland!
This challenge is open until Christmas Day. You can add your entry over on our Facebook page.
We’ll be taking a break from 26th Dec til 10th January, but look forward to seeing you in the New Year with another Colour INKspiration challenge.
