As the weeks draw nearer to Christmas, I’m slowing building up my supply of cards & gifts for this festive season.
It’s another great Christmas theme at CASEing the Catty – Favourite Big Shot project from the Holiday Catalogue.
There’s lots of great inspiration from the design team – so if you’re looking for some more Christmas ideas, make sure to hop around!
One of my very favourite Big Shot sets from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue is the Quilt Builder Framelit Dies. Sewing is a popular hobby amongst my family & friends – so I’m excited for all the possibilities this set holds.
This set of dies is part of the Quilted Christmas Suite.
There’s definitely something sweet about the patterns & colours of these products!
My inspiration for today’s CASEing the Catty project came from this photo on page 4 of the Holiday Catalogue.
I {LOVE} the concept of those cute little thread holder cards, but haven’t used them yet. This was the perfect opportunity!
I used the patterns & theme of the sample card to create some mini cards (3″ square) with the thread card as the main embellishment.
The thread card was cut in Real Red cardstock and wrapped with Whisper White Baker’s Twine, finishing it off with a bow.
3″ cards are perfectly packaged in the super cute pizza boxes (also available in the Holiday Catalogue).
They come white but are easily coloured using your Stampin’ Spritzer. Add 5-20 drops of the reinker colour you want (number of drops depends on the intensity you want) and fill to the top with Isocol (alcohol solution available at Coles, Woolworths & pharmacies).
Sets of cards make fantastic gifts. It’s fabulous to have beautiful packaging options – I hope those pizza boxes stay around past this current catalogue!
You can fit quite a few cards in the box, but with the spool of thread on each notecard, they ended up being a thicker than usual.
They do still, however, fit in the cute little 3″ envelopes.(another Holiday Catalogue must have!).
