And just like that, the school holidays are over!
Back to packed lunches, early starts and after school activities!!!
If you have kids, what kind of holiday parent are you? Love the change up and find it hard to go back, or – at your limits and ready for someone else to entertain them for 7 hours of the day???
I’m a holiday loving mumma – but mostly for the sleep ins I think!!!
Staying up til 1am is a little easier when I know I don’t have to be up at 7am!
Because it’s Sunday, it’s time for another CASEing the Catty project.
Today, we’re CASEing the Year of Cheer section of the Holiday catalogue.
Choose any element of what you see from pages 36 – 47.
I’ve chosen to CASE the colours & styling of this super cute treat bag on page 45…

Although you probably don’t often think of black for baby cards, black and pink together make a cute modern twist on the traditional baby card colours!I’m pretty sure the original Stampin’ Up! project is Flirty Flamingo, but I softened it up a little by having Blushing Bride as the pink.
The DSP choice is the same, and I’ve kept the vellum heart {so much to love about the inspiration card!}. The vellum is applied using a small amount of Fast Fuse. It barely shows up through the vellum – perfect! And even more perfect – buy a Fast Fuse during October and get 2 free refills!I’ve lost count of how many different types of cards I’ve used the Foil Snowflake on now. They are definitely not just for Christmas!!
The ‘hello’ is from the Hello Friend stamp set – I’ve got a total crush on this stamp set at the moment! To get the depth of colour I stamped it three times in Blushing Bride using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the placement.
The ‘baby’ is from Happy Celebrations (love that font!) in Basic Black Archival Ink.
And the final fun touches are Black Shimmer ribbon, Gold Mini Sequin Trim, Pearl Jewels and some Shimmery White Hearts.
I’m not sure where the hearts are from in the inspiration card, but cut mine using the Window Box Thinlit. There’s two sizes in one of the square patterns – just beautiful for accents!
I just love how this card turned out – and although I haven’t forgotten, it reminds the wonderful inspiration contained within those catalogue pages.
Please join us with what inspires you this week from pages 36-47 of the Holiday Catalogue. And share your creation with us on our Facebook group.
Thanks for hopping!
See what the rest of the design team has created, hopping from here to Angela Meiritz-Reid with another gorgeously pinkly baby card….
