Hey there! Thanks for joining us for this edition of the Stamp Review Crew.
You’re hopping with an international line-up of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, all creating with the same stamp set.
Currently, you’re with Kelly Kent in Bunbury, Western Australia.
I’m nestled in between two lovely roses from the US – Linda Callahan before me and Heidi Baks after me. Click on the ‘next’ button below to visit Heidi when you’re done with my projects.
Today’s stamp set is the very popular Beautiful You…
We first saw this at the Brisbane OnStage event in November 2016 and there was a very collective ‘ooooo’ around the auditorium.
Since it’s release, there have been some truly beautiful and very innovative cards made with this set.
You’re going to love the fresh eyes the Stamp Review Crew bring to it today!
I’ve decided to combine it with the newly released “Beachy Little Christmas” stamp set.
The beach shack stamp is just perfect for the dancing/cartwheeling lady. She’s my favourite – so carefree & happy!
The first concept has been swirling around in my mind for over a week now and was such fun to bring to life!
It has a shaker portion within the card front, the lady dancing across the card and the shacks peeking through from the middle!
I’ve stamped one of my favourite sentiments from the set in Black Archival ink directly onto the Window Sheet.
This is the middle of the card – the shaker section is hidden by a third panel which I folded into the middle of the card.
How cute are those beach shacks all lined up?
Once this card was finished, it inspired me to make another card, with similar elements, but not the shaker section.
I’m actually tempted to say I like this one better… Isn’t it funny how things sometimes come together out of nowhere!
I stamped the lady first and then used the masking technique to block her out while I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line up the beach shacks.
The colouring was done using ink pads & an Aqua Painter – my preferred way of colouring. So quick, easy & forgiving!
Thanks for joining me for today’s hop.
Next up is the lovely Heidi Baks & her fabulous use of the Beautiful stamp set.
If you’re visiting from Australia and need any stamping supplies, I can help you out in my online store.

When I saw this was the stamp set, I truly wondered what you would come up with that was ‘different ‘. I’m surprised, as always, and love how you’ve combined these stamp sets.
